Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
As owner of a tour company I promise to sustain environment. In this endeavor I have made certain green practices and selections mandatory. When we visit any National Park on this tour we inform each and every client in advance to wear earthen color clothes, treat national parks as the learning centers and not a picnic site. Guests are asked not to use any camera flash or try to come very close to animals and to keep noise level at the minimum while talking to each other. A local naturalist will accompany all guests helping them to view wildlife responsibly.
Throughout the tour we use ecofriendly hotels an lodges which have time and time again proved worthy of being responsible towards the environment.
All the more we are using Heritage properties where the owners have put in lot of efforts to restore the structure maintaining the heritage & environment too.
It has become possible in current times to use alternative energy especially the solar energy generating panels, bio gas and use of natural light using the right architectural techniques. We always look for these practices and implementations and promote such properties which care.
When we give the first orientation lecture at the time of arrival we request all our clients not to use plastic bags. Furthermore through our leaders and literature we also encourage our clients to show kindness to the social sensitivities of the destinations.
People
Empowerment of local communities is essential in order to conserve our heritage and economic participation. We encourage empowerment by providing training to the locals who own the properties with the help of NGOs and institutions. Going local pays and hence we encourage employment, local transportation serviced by the locals.Participation in trade in order to sustain and develop local markets is also a responsible practice. Encouragement to arts and crafts and marketing assistants is another responsible practice we participate in.
Directly or indirectly we support local institutions like hospitals and schools. Empowerment of women is also essential in best practices.
We try to aim, help and support a more responsible and sustainable approach in Wildlife tourism by catering to small group of not more than 8 people, thus leaving behind the least impact on a particular destination. The Naturalist who will accompany you for local sightseeing are from the local community who have developed the skills of communicating with clients over the years with our regular in house training.
