Departure information

This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
Accessible overview:
We do what we can to assist travellers with accessible needs; if you talk to us before the trip, we can brief our guides and ensure that you have the right support to make your trip an enjoyable one.
We will arrange wheelchair accessible rooms for the clients in the hotels during the trip, and although we do not have a specially adapted vehicle for wheelchair users, we have assistance for the traveler and space to put the wheelchair in the vehicle.
In places in China , it is easy for wheelchair to move around, because most places we have special facilities for wheelchairs. For examples, when a wheelchair comes to the metro, new lines of subway, we have lift. For the old lines of subway, people can call the subway staff, they can come to help with a kind lift-like frame move down or up above the stairs which makes it easier for the disabled people to travel. And it is easier to find lift or wheelchair-accessible ramps in the places like the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, The Summer Palace, even the Great Wall. This happens to nearly everywhere in China because in China we have a big population using wheelchair. Besides, our guides are trained to take care of the wheelchair clients and wheelchair assistant also could be arranged for some groups.
Blind/ limited vision:
For the guests who suffer from weak vision we have a good experience taking them to touch and listen to the Great Wall, the sea, the desert. And we will surely can give them one to one service.
Deaf/limited hearing:
Because sign languages are quite different from countries to countries, it is hard to find someone good at sign language to have each guests understand, but normally we can use a board or electronic to write. When needed, one to one service is not a problem.
Cognitive conditions:
We have this kind of experience. Normally we choose quiet place and dull season to avoid overcrowding. We can offer one to one service.
'Free from' food:
Normally when we organize a trip, we will invistage guests' food specialties esp. dietary information such as vegetarians, Muslim food, allergy issue. For not certain case, we will translate into certain languages to guarantee.
Yes. We have already run quite a few LGBT tours and have got quite good feedback. We respect them and keep their privacy.

Responsible tourism

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

This tour will transport you to an eclectic and culturally significant range of heritage sites that date back to ancient times and it will also take you to unique places of natural beauty, including lakes, deserts and mountain ranges of spectacular beauty. It therefore exceptionally important that we fully understand and appreciate the importance of developing tours that are sustainable and reduce the impacts of tourism on the human and natural environment wherever possible. Indeed, all of our tours maintain a great respect for the cultural and natural surroundings in which we visit and travel, and we have opted to use only essential methods of public or private transport for this itinerary.

To help us protect and preserve what remains of both China’s wonderful cultural and natural heritage, we ask that all of our travel participants help care for the environments they visit by being respectfully aware of the unique locations we take them to. The importance of sustainable travel, particularly in sensitive natural environments and ecosystems, is something we also value highly. As a bonus of our unique approach, you will also discover that our tour groups are small in size so that our impacts are minimised, and of course, so that we can afford you the attention you deserve!

The Impacts of this Trip

Our itinerary has been designed to fully incorporate the local communities of the regions we visit. We value their unique insights, knowledge, and hospitality, and believe that they too should benefit from tourism too. We respect their traditions and beliefs, and are acutely aware of the need to respect indigenous people and religious sites in particular.

An English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city, who will remain with you throughout your time in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available.

We chose wheelchair accessible rooms in locally-owned hotels in each city entire the trip, use locally-owned restaurants, and services to ensure that local communities and business prosper in a highly competitive market. An added bonus of using locally-owned services and people is that they will often be highly enthusiastic, generous and proud to welcome you into the places where many have be born and raised.

We are also exceptionally aware of the need to use local ‘green’ tourism services and businesses to ensure that the natural and social environments that host tourism are protected and well-managed. This includes the use of locally-sourced produce such as food and crafts, for example. However, perhaps one of the greatest reasons for using locally-owned accommodation is that you will see the ‘real’ China in its various guises. You will sample traditional villages, entertainment shows, cuisines and ways of life that can be significantly different to anything you may have experienced before. We will also take you to incredible places away from the tourist crowds to ensure that your experiences are genuinely unique. We fully believe that this is a wonderful way to learn about this spectacular country and have no doubt that you will agree!
