CARBON REDUCTION
Reduced Air Travel:
This holiday to Santorini and Athens is designed to minimize air travel. The transition from the port of Piraeus to Santorini is planed by ferry and not by plane, eliminating the need for internal flights, thus reducing the tour's carbon footprint. During the whole tour our guests have the choice to taste vegetarian and vegan food options from the rich Mediterranean cuisine that is full of such healthy dishes. Made from Volcanic Soil and Aegean, bathed in dazzling sunlight and swept by the Aegean breeze, Santorini is more than just breathtaking views and iconic architecture. Its fertile volcanic soil gives life to exceptional local products—vivid in flavour and rooted in the island’s unique environment. From ancient vineyards to sun-ripened vegetables, the island’s gastronomy is a true reflection of its landscape. Fava (yellow split peas), white aubergines, capers, the cherry tomatoes that the locals first cultivated in the 18th century, famous for their unique taste owed to the arid soil of the island are some of its premium products. The island, also famous for its local Assyrtiko and Vinsanto wines, is a gastronomy magnet.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
We have eco-friendly accommodations:
We ensure that almost all accommodations on this trip adhere to strict environmental policies, including water conservation through rainwater harvesting and waste management.
Santorini is famous for its Mediterranean cuisine. We promote local and seasonal food: All suggested restaurants during the tour are specialized in seasonal and locally sourced food, cooking their recipes from raw materials from the local production of fishermen and horticultural farmers.
We also mostly work with local accommodations, whose owners have plans and policies on reducing or switching to certified palm oil and soy.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY
a. Locally-Owned Accommodations:
We believe travel must benefit local communities. Our main accommodations in Santorini are locally owned. In our trips we never use international chains, because we want to support the local community.
All our guides for the tours on the island are locals who know deeply the life and the attractions of their place. In Santorini we arrange dinners at local taverns in small villages of the island their characteristic Cycladic architecture.
During this trip, we accompany our visitors to the local wineries of the island where they discover the long history of wine production in the area and be initiated in peculiar methods of grape growing that go back to ancient times and are still being used today.
b. Local Economic Opportunities:
We prioritize local economic growth by employing local guides native to each region we visit. We suggest visitors to visit local craft markets and buy from there handmade crafts, as all the islands in Cyclades are full of such shops, which offer beautiful handmade jewelry and ceramics, contributing directly to the local economy.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Even though we don't have a diversity strategy, we are very careful to give equal opportunities to the workers involved in our trips. We have friendly relations with most of these people, apart from professional ones, and we usually prefer to give work to the most vulnerable of them every time. Those who have financial difficulties or health problems or are women from single-parent families will be given priority. And then the rest follow.....
a. Local Employment: All our partners in Santorini are locals, including those from marginalized communities.
b. Diversity Strategy:
To our per trip diverse partners we provide equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
