CARBON REDUCTION:Our commitment to responsible travel is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we created the first-ever carbon scoring system of its kind. This innovative tool evaluates the environmental impact of every tailor-made journey we craft. By collaborating closely with our suppliers through a comprehensive carbon-scoring survey, we gain valuable insights into successes and opportunities for improvement. It also allows us to set measurable targets for reducing emissions across our itineraries. Through ongoing monitoring and adaptation, we ensure that our trips become progressively greener without compromising the quality of your experience.
Cycling and guided walks have little to no environmental impact.
Vegetarian and vegan food available throughout.
ENVIRONMENT & WILDLIFE:
In your visit to Deogarh, you will be able to explore the town’s narrow streets, weaving past rickshaws, cyclists, and the occasional cow. Along the way, you can browse the many small shops on offer and visit bustling market stalls. The surrounding countryside around Deogarh is rich in wildlife, with blue bulls, wolves and jackals all in residence. You may even have the chance to spot a rare leopard. Natural birdlife is also abundant in this area. Guided walks provide an excellent way to observe these animals responsibly, while learning about local conservation efforts. The combination of cultural exploration and wildlife spotting makes Deogarh a truly immersive experience for nature lovers.

LOCAL ECONOMY:On your cycle around Devi Garh, you will have the opportunity to explore the local area, stopping at the Jain temples and passing through the traditional Delwara village.
On your visit to the Bishnoi villages, you will have the chance to meet local communities and see craftsmen at work, absorbing the local culture in the process and further supporting small businesses.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY & DIVERSITY:
We support the family-run Dev Shree hotel in Deogarh, which provides employment for local people, including hospitality, bar and restaurant work. There is also is a bustling local market offering artisan goods just outside the Dev Shree hotel, where you can buy local artwork, such as pottery. The food served at Dev Shree is sustainably produced, sourced from local farmer’s markets, and the grey water from the hotel is used for irrigation in the gardens. By extension of this, we are supporting the local agricultural and horticultural sectors in Deogarh.
We use local guides to offer a tour of the city of Udaipur, where highlights include the City Palace, the gardens at Sahelion-ki-Bari, and the Jagdish temple.
