Seeing tigers in Ranthambore National Park- yes two less than twenty feet away. I had no expectations of seeing so to come across one resting beside the track who was then joined by another was amazing. (more)Charmian Hobbs
Don't hesitate to book. Just go! It was amazing. The operator uses local transport, including trains. The hotels were small businesses and not part of large world wide chains. Our group was a mix of ages from 20 year olds to over 60's so it is suitable for all wanting to experience India. (more)Kathryn Heirons
Most memorable - the amazing places we stayed and the wonderful people we met most exciting - being driven through the streets of Delhi, it got the adrenaline pumping anyway! (more)Beki Williams
Rajasthan luxury tours

There were so many memorable moments it was brilliant. Seeing tigers and leopards, staying in the most amazing room at Nadine's Haveli, travelling on the sleeper train visiting the elephants at Jaipur, the holi festival in Jaipur, the living fort at Jaisalmer, the camel ride, meeting so many lovely friendly and helpful people. (more)Graham Meadows
Very hard to choose from so many truly wonderful and diverse experiences. Generally, we'd say the unexpected opportunity to meet - and to spend some real quality time getting to know and learning from - a variety of local individuals was especially gratifying. Truly outstanding and quite unusual. Stimulating, challenging, and fun. Extensive opportunities to explore an incredible variety of stunning historical and cultural sites. (more)Janice McGuire
Great moment: Sitting in a rooftop cafe with a view of the Taj Mahal, hearing the call to prayer from lots of mosques competing with each other, and having our beer stolen by a monkey (more)Julie Cigman

The most memorable moments were Ranakpur Temple, wandering the streets of Bundi and visiting the Hindu temples there with the guide. It was a fantastic and rewarding experience which I will not soon forget. It really opened my eyes to a lot I didn't know about Indian culture and history... (more)Barton Colmerauer
The most important contributor to this was of course an excellent and friendly guide, who I would thoroughly recommend to others. (more)Gerry Scott

Memorable parts? The Taj Mahal has to be the most iconic visit. Having to get in the queue for the 6 o'clock opening was "different", but really worth it. Back to the hotel in time for breakfast AFTER visiting the Taj is something I shall be slipping into most conversations I have in the near future! Next was the 3 days in Jaipur where I felt like a princess being waited on hand and foot. Bed tea was lovely and sipping gin and tonic while watching a charming puppet show could have been part... The holiday was good...Visit to Cochin in Kerala. The Taj Malabar is a unique one!!! And also Usaipur, the city is great and the Leela palace hotel is a must seen. (more)Itay Mehl
Most memorable was the Taj Mahal. It's everything it's claimed to be. A remarkable building that shows little sign of age. We visited in the afternoon then went back at dawn. It's well worth two visits (more)Sally Wylie

A great experience. Lots of travelling, not easy or relaxing or luxurious but it's India and it is an amazing place, wonderful people and a lot to see. This trip is tiring but worth it. (more)Charlotte Beer
Most memorable? Dawn boat trip at Varanasai, the Taj Mahal, a visit to the Sikh temple, the food and the shopping! (more)Lisa Phillips
Rajasthan desert adventure
From
£1,829

Memorable parts? All visits to Rajastani palaces, forts and havelis were a fantastic experience, especially since the city guides were really good and very excited to tell us all about it. The Taj Mahal is certainly a highlight, but my top experience was visiting the living and breathing city within the walls of Jaisalmer fort. Other highlights for me included the miniature painting school in Udaipur, the carpet and block printing workshop in Jaipur, the observatory in Jaipur and the makrana... (more)Monica Filkova
Rajasthan cycling holiday
From
£2,199

Memorable parts? The endless wild receptions as we rolled through village streets; young and old alike excited beyond measure! Tips? Don't plan on convenient, ever-present wifi at your hotels. Be mentally prepared for very slow riding. Local benefits? Cycling is the only way to go for so many reasons. Overall rating? Great! Leaders were conscientious and at the ready. If anything, we were over-coddled in that we were afraid, perhaps rightly, to go out on our own in... (more)Peter Judd
Rajasthan art history & architecture tour
From
£706

Memorable parts? There were two big parts of our holiday: the culture and the nature. From a cultural perspective, we learned so much about the history of various cultures within Rajasthan. The forts we visited (Mehrangarh, Roopangarh, Amber) were amazing, but the highlight was definitely staying at Jog Niwas, where our host/organizer Shanane Davis lives. She taught us so much about patronage and connoisseurship, sharing with our whole family a remarkably vast knowledge about textiles, art,... (more)Robert Macauley

I would rate it "best ever"! We had the chance to ride beautiful and reliable Marwari horses, the Indian guides travelling with us were amazing, we were served delicious Indian food and slept in stunning locations. (more)Giulia Lazzarini
It was a fantastic 2 weeks with amazing interesting people, I made friends for life and saw a part of rural India I would never have had access to without the trail devised by Jonny and his friends. (more)Anthea Harvey
Firstly the service from the tour company! Big, big Thanks :-) Secondly, the horses, especially the horse ride to the lake camp. (more)Katharina Duske
Adventure holiday in Rajasthan
From
£1,450

Memorable parts? I will never forget bicycling down some of the quite back country lanes of Rajasthan - children running across field of yellow mustard flowers to greet you as you bicycle past - pausing in a small village to meet the people weaving a beautiful rug on the huge loom - spotting a beautiful Kingfisher perched in a tree as you pause to admire. Tips? Enquire as to what you might bring along to benefit a local school or such that you might be visiting along the way! Local... (more)Mike Perry

The most exciting part of the holiday was travelling on the overnight train and the many opportunities we had to meet local people and glimpse a little of what their lives are like. I must also add the bustle and colour of the camel fair and the friendliness of everyone we met. (more)Avril Vallance
Bhopal Singh is undoubtedly the best guide I have had on trips to India. He actually knows the history as well as the culture, habits, etc...Excellent. (more)Nancy Hayward
Tailor made Rajasthan tour, India
From
£1,750

Memorable parts? History and culture. I enjoyed the amazing hotels we stayed in that were beautiful locations and historical. Tips? Due to distance between locations, ensure there are two nights at every hotel. There is significant time spent driving (in a car) between each location. If flying from Delhi during December / January be aware of fog delaying / cancelling flights. Local benefits? We visited local communities (e.g. Bishnoi, Samode) but not sure how it benefitted... Memorable parts? The Tiger safaris in Tadoba National Park/ Tiger Reserve Tips? To try and go in February and March when the tiger activity is good , vegetation not too high but it is at least a little cooler - c 28 degrees as opposed to 38degrees Local benefits? Yes . The guides, trackers and drivers we had were nearly all ( very ) local as were the lodge staff - all of whom were extremely courteous and helpful . They seemed committed to an understanding that conservation... (more)david phillips

Its impossible to pick just one as the entire trip was wonderful, which probably sounds like a cliche. There were so many highlights, the sailing down the Ganges was magical, and exploring Varanasi. (more)Zoe Tillier
