Our two week trip was the perfect mix of relaxation, history, food, shopping, and sightseeing. The tour operator went above and beyond to make this experience as tailored as possible. 5 stars all the way! (more)Daria Flores
Outstanding accommodation in heritage hotels and homestay, especially Dera Mandawa in Jaipur and Coral Court in Agra. Wonderfully well looked after by representatives, guides and driver... (more)Kirstine Dunthorne
The wide range of amazing places we stayed and the very knowledgeable guides. Wonderful palaces and temples and small lanes full of colour and magical littles shops. (more)Marion East

There were so many incredible things, but the most memorable part was having the opportunity to meet the Indian people and learning more about their way of life and culture. (more)Gilly Plested
There were many memorable moments - the scale and grandeur of the various palaces and forts with the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri, and Jaipur standing out... The marble carvings at the Jainist temple at Rankapore were quite extraordinary. We really enjoyed Bhindar, not just staying in the Palace, but the waking around the town without a tourist shop in sight! (more)Tim Johnston
Finding ourselves in India at Holi - and being involved! We were prepared, by our guide, for what would happen - the showering of colours onto friends and strangers alike - and so dressed accordingly, and joined in! As a result, we had great fun! (more)David Lynn

The main part of the holiday was great, with a very well balanced itinerary, and we had a brilliant guide. The most exciting things were catching a first closeup sight of the Taj Mahal and seeing tigers in Ranthambore. (more)Chris McCallion
Seeing tigers in Ranthambore National Park- yes two less than twenty feet away. I had no expectations of seeing so to come across one resting beside the track who was then joined by another was amazing. (more)Charmian Hobbs
Don't hesitate to book. Just go! It was amazing. The operator uses local transport, including trains. The hotels were small businesses and not part of large world wide chains. Our group was a mix of ages from 20 year olds to over 60's so it is suitable for all wanting to experience India. (more)Kathryn Heirons

In rural Rajasthan we saw wonderful countryside and wildlife but some of the most memorable things were spontaneous events and interaction with people... This was one of the best holidays we have had (more)Val Cardwell
In our 3 weeks we had so many highlights -Delhi a very intense city - a person in our group called it --compressed humanity---walk through the spice markets, the kitchen at a Sikh Temple where they feed the poor -you can help out. All the forts, temples & mosques are so very different because there are so many different gods. (more)Chris Hunt

The feeling that we saw the real India, having a wonderful guide who knew the area well and took us to places and restaurants that we wouldn't have visited by ourselves, having so many diverse experiences as well as seeing the sights, bike-riding, camel trekking, trains... (more)Nicky Parsons
We had really memorable moments and sights in each place we visited, but our side trip to Bharatpur Wildlife Sancturary, and the birdwatching was a wonderful experience. The ancient forts and palaces and tombs and temples were amazing to see... (more)Judy Ainger

Memorable parts? All visits to Rajastani palaces, forts and havelis were a fantastic experience, especially since the city guides were really good and very excited to tell us all about it. The Taj Mahal is certainly a highlight, but my top experience was visiting the living and breathing city within the walls of Jaisalmer fort. Other highlights for me included the miniature painting school in Udaipur, the carpet and block printing workshop in Jaipur, the observatory in Jaipur and the makrana... (more)Monica Filkova

Memorable parts? A yawning tiger in Ranthambore, and Bodo dancing in Assam (probably because all the girls wanted a Selfie with me!) Tips? (a) Our connecting flight from Delhi to Jaipur was cancelled very late, which happens a lot - a taxi took 6 hours but only cost about £35. (b) We rented a MiFi device from Trabug.com at $2 a day for 1.2GB daily, worked flawlessly in Golden Triangle & Assam, and they also do phone packages. Local benefits? Ranthambore is a bit overrun with... (more)Nick Howard

Memorable parts? There were two big parts of our holiday: the culture and the nature. From a cultural perspective, we learned so much about the history of various cultures within Rajasthan. The forts we visited (Mehrangarh, Roopangarh, Amber) were amazing, but the highlight was definitely staying at Jog Niwas, where our host/organizer Shanane Davis lives. She taught us so much about patronage and connoisseurship, sharing with our whole family a remarkably vast knowledge about textiles, art,... (more)Robert Macauley

We had the most marvellous holiday ever, as everything had been superbly and seamlessly put in place by our tour organiser. Everything about the trip was exciting and memorable, because it was so different from Europe in every possible way. Of course, the Taj Mahal was a highlight, but so were the Aravelli hills, the city of Bikaner... (more)Annette Jones

Memorable parts? History and culture. I enjoyed the amazing hotels we stayed in that were beautiful locations and historical. Tips? Due to distance between locations, ensure there are two nights at every hotel. There is significant time spent driving (in a car) between each location. If flying from Delhi during December / January be aware of fog delaying / cancelling flights. Local benefits? We visited local communities (e.g. Bishnoi, Samode) but not sure how it benefitted... Memorable parts? I will never forget bicycling down some of the quite back country lanes of Rajasthan - children running across field of yellow mustard flowers to greet you as you bicycle past - pausing in a small village to meet the people weaving a beautiful rug on the huge loom - spotting a beautiful Kingfisher perched in a tree as you pause to admire. Tips? Enquire as to what you might bring along to benefit a local school or such that you might be visiting along the way! Local... (more)Mike Perry

The most exciting part of the holiday was travelling on the overnight train and the many opportunities we had to meet local people and glimpse a little of what their lives are like. I must also add the bustle and colour of the camel fair and the friendliness of everyone we met. (more)Avril Vallance

Memorable parts? Amazing sights and some wonderful hotels. Our driver and guides were really friendly and helpful. Driver did an amazing job - traffic, parking and roads have to be seen to be believed. Tips? Think carefully about your itinerary. We ended up having 4 very full on/busy days in the first week and a few too many rest days in the second, with a final day just hanging around in a very expensive hotel near the airport in Delhi just waiting to fly home. Local benefits? Tourism... (more)Susan Wilson
