1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The train rides through the highlands - such scenery, and having the train stop at so many lovely, tiny places.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

There's more good food than you would expect!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I felt it benefited the people running the hotels and B&Bs. We took several tours with local taxi people and enjoyed them.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole experience was memorable. The Jacobite steam train, the Culodin battlefield, and the warm and friendly people.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Prepare for rain and wind, wear good walking/hiking shoes. Ask about local buses in Inverness to get to the battlefield - easy and much less expensive than taxis. The hotel killiecrankie is not in Pitlochry and is pretty remote. We were lucky to have British friends with a car who met us there, otherwise we would have been disappointed about the location. The hotel is lovely, but isolated.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Local people benefited because we did not endanger them by driving on the left side of the road!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent! All the arrangements were lovely, everything worked as advertised, taxis and trains and meals all showed up when they were supposed to, no complaints at all.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Time on Skye, and the rail journeys on the West Highland line and from Kyle of Lochalsh to Dingwall - had to get a bus from there sadly.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

None.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We travelled mostly by train which was good. We did use taxis but that was all good for local people even if not quite so good environmentally

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Wow, a number of exciting parts, firstly the train journey from Queen Street station to Fort William, absolutely superb. Staying at Inverlochy Castle, truly breathtaking location. Steam train.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Travel with elasticated waistbands, the food is plentiful and very good.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Benefits to the local area would include - economic (eating/drinking) - visiting and supporting historic sites. Travelling by train, therefore, reducing environmental pollutants and in turn supporting conversation of these beautiful unspoilt areas.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very well planned, all went smoothly. A really wonderful holiday.
