1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Very difficult to find one part to single out however seeing the Kumari in Kathmandu and then a tiger and leopards in Bardiya are pretty high up the list.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Do take the advise of the local tour operators. We don't appreciate the vagaries of travel in Nepal - flight delays etc. The tour operator were very good at talking us through the itinary and happy to make changes. This wasn't a problem even when we were already out in Nepal and only gave them a few days notice. It was great to meet all the team. They took us out for a meal and caught up with us at the end to ask for feedback. I also liked the use of a WhatsApp group to help with communication and the loan of a Nepali Sim. There were no communication/language problems at all.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - the hotels chosen by the tour operator were local and independent. They promoted Nepali food and customs. They provided transport - this included use of an electric car (very rare in Nepal) for our longer journeys. We went to Bardiya - a national park, very focussed on conservation. All their employees were local and when we were further away from Kathmandu (Bardiya and Lumbini) we had local guides too.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
A great adventure. We felt safe but also immersed in the local culture and not on the usual tourist trail. The arrangements were all made in good time, we had good and quick responses to queries. Good value for money as far as we could judge.Holiday Reviews
