1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We enjoyed all of the activities a lot and we liked them all in different ways. In general the program, the host, Stan (and his wife) and all the guides were amazing. All this put together made the entire holiday memorable. If we have to chose, the rock climbing and coaststeering was most exiciting.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Trust the guides. They are very professional. Just go for it with an open mind in all the activities.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It was interesting to hear how it was for them to live in Montenegro and their thoughts about the development of the country.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing, memorable and unique vacation. Everything was well organized and everyone was very helpful and kind.Hannah Mitchell review 5 Jun 2024
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
We have just returned from the most amazing trip to Montenegro with this company. I cannot recommend them highly enough! We wanted a family trip filled with fun, adventure and new experiences, and Stan and his team absolutely delivered. They created a bespoke experience which was perfectly tailored to our children’s ages (9 and 12) and our family’s love of outdoor adventures. Every guide/instructor was superb: they were all Montenegrin and had a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as fluent English and a great sense of fun! Stan was so organised that we didn’t have to worry about anything - every day the activities, equipment, lunches, transport and even his wife G’s delicious homemade cakes were provided as part of the package. He was also really flexible, rearranging some activities as we went along so that we could make the best of the weather conditions each day. On the first day Stan picked us up from the airport, drove us to our apartment and provided us with a delicious lunch and heaps of useful information about the trip and the local area. We then had some free time to explore the beautiful resort of Porto Novi, sample some cocktails and then take an evening swim in the Adriatic. The next morning our guide Blazo picked us up and drove us further up the bay for a day of Stand Up Paddleboarding. He was lovely, and particularly attentive to our younger son who found it a bit tricky to start with. He then guided us on an 8km paddle, which took us to a stunning church on an island (Our Lady of the Rocks). It was so beautiful to paddle across the crystal clear water, and Blazo adapted the route to find time for our boys to jump in for a swim. On the second day we had the unforgettable experience of Coasteering. When your children are jumping off 10 metre high cliffs you need to have absolute confidence in the instructors, and we did not doubt Marco and Danilo for a second - the whole day ran like clockwork and their skills and knowledge of the terrain were incredible. They were absolute professionals from start to finish, ensuring that we had an unforgettable (and safe) experience. Our kids could not stop talking about it, and the GoPro video that Danilo made will be treasured forever. They even managed to fit in a stop for a swim at the famous Blue Cave which was magical. That evening we headed into the beautiful old town of Herceg Novi for an outstanding seafood meal (another recommendation from Stan) and a wander around the picturesque streets at dusk. It is only a 20 minute bus ride from the apartment so it was very easy to go and explore. Day three was sea kayaking with Aleksa. He had planned a fascinating route that included a paddle into the secret tunnels under the mountains where submarines used to surface to defend the bay, a shipwreck and the beautiful village of Rosa with its turquoise water for another swim! We would never have dared to explore these places independently by kayak, but with his guidance we found a safe route across the bay and felt a huge sense of achievement (along with some rather sore arms!). Day four was a bit of a blip weather-wise, but Stan took this in his stride and designed a day of sightseeing, including the ancient towns of Perast and Kotor and a walk up the 1400 steps to the ancient mountain fort at Kotor with views over the bay. On the way back we stopped at an excellent restaurant to sample delicious cakes with a panoramic view of the bay, all of which gave us an excellent sense of the local geography and culture. Day five was a hike up Orjen mountain with Iva, a very experienced local mountain guide. We had to delay the start due to rain in the morning, but despite the later start Iva made sure that we still had a full experience, and we didn’t leave the mountain until sunset! She guided us to a remote mountain hut surrounded by the most spectacular scenery - it felt as though we had suddenly been transported from the Mediterranean to the Swiss Alps! She told us all about the local wildlife and we got to sample some edible plants and delicious tea made from the mountain herbs. It was a challenging hike that we could never have attempted without her expertise. She dropped us off in Herceg Novi afterwards for some well-earned burgers and beer (another excellent recommendation from Stan). For the grande finale on the last day we were taken on a boat trip with Stan and his wife G. The weather was perfect and we spent all day jumping in and out of the boat, swimming amongst hundreds of beautiful fish and then sunbathing on the deck - it felt like a movie set! Our Skipper Nikolai was lovely, spending time with our boys trying to catch a fish and keeping a careful eye on them whilst they swam (and even letting them ‘drive’ the boat) and G’s catering was once again incredible - it could not have been a more perfect day. Afterwards we all headed back to Stan and G’s house to share a traditional Montenegrin meal with their family, which was a real treat. There are so many reasons to recommend this trip - the activities, the spectacular setting, the delicious (and very affordable) food - but most of all it was the welcome that we received from everyone that we met which made it so special. We felt like family guests rather than tourists and it was an absolute privilege to have such a special experience2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Talk to Stan before booking about the time of year that you want to travel, as the weather and the number of tourists in each place change dramatically, so trust his advice about the best places to go and when - for example he can offer a package in the Mountains instead of the Coast depending on the time of year.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All of our guides were locals who had worked with Stan for many years, and they clearly had a strong working relationship, as they all told us independently how happy they were to have left their previous jobs and started doing this work instead. We felt that, with Stan’s guidance, we were able to avoid the tourist traps, and instead we visited small local restaurants and were able to get to know some of the people who were living and working near our apartment and use their local businesses for the things we needed. All of the activities were organised on a small scale such that they would not cause any disruption to local people or the environment- for example, our guides brought us sandwiches in tupperware boxes at lunchtime and were careful to ensure that we left no trace on the beaches and mountains that we visited. Stan and his team clearly love their country and I felt that they were always focused on ensuring that tourism only had a positive impact.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Amazing! Best holiday ever (kids and adults all agreed on this!).Claire Critchley review 20 Jul 2023
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Too many to count! Doing different activities each day made every day feel different and the week flew by. We enjoyed everything but some standouts were via ferrata, canyoning and stand up paddleboarding. Each activity was in a different part of the bay so we got to experience the whole coastline and enjoy swimming and beach time in the afternoons after the activities.2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Go with the flow and trust the hosts and guides, you'll have a brilliant time.3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes - definitely benefitted local people. All the guides were local and very passionate about where they live. We ate and drank in local restaurants, and there was no damage to the environment with any of the activities.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Fantastic! Stan and Goca were incredible hosts, so kind and generous from the moment we arrived and it felt like they were really invested in us having a great holiday. Staying in a small town and doing activities in remote areas around the bay allowed us to really experience local Montenegrin life. All the activities were great and well tailored to different experience levels. They were led by informative and friendly local guides who ensured your safety but also ensured you had lots of fun at the same time.Gareth Roberts review 17 Aug 2022
