Description of Botswana adventure safari
This mobile camping safari links many of Botswana's most celebrated wildlife areas in a single adventure. Travelling from Maun to the spectacular Victoria Falls, you'll explore wetlands, floodplains and game-rich reserves by mokoro, 4WD and on foot, staying close to nature throughout.
Your adventure safari begins in the Okavango Delta, one of Africa's most renowned wildlife destinations, where local polers guide you on mokoro excursions through reed-lined channels. From there, continue to Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park, searching for elephants, antelopes, predators like wild dogs and leopards and an impressive variety of birdlife.
Camping in remote locations allows you to appreciate Botswana's changing landscapes, from lagoon systems and islands to the dry plains of Savuti and the wildlife-rich Chobe River. And an optional helicopter flight offers a thrilling and unique perspective on the Delta's intricate waterways.
Mobile camping is surely one of the most exciting ways to take a safari, immersing you in the sights and sounds of the bush and ensuring that you get a regular change of view when you step through your tent flaps every morning.

We recognise that is our responsibility as a company to give back and to ensure that we make as small an impact as possible on the environment and as large an impact as possible on the development of our employees and surrounding communities. We want to make a difference to lives, sustainable differences that reach further than just the work place……… Differences that change lives for the better.Founded in 2009, Bush Ways Foundation is a passionate and dedicated organisation committed to enhancing the lives of Botswana’s people while protecting the country’s unique natural heritage. With a rich history of collaboration and a deep understanding of local needs, the Foundation continues to strive towards sustainable development in the communities surrounding our safari camps and lodges. Our guests play a significant role in our efforts to give back, and they can make a difference through donations including giving their time as part of their pre-arranged itinerary.
We recognise that our employees are our most valuable assets and as such we have chosen to invest in their development through training and skills development in work based skills sets as well as in life skills. We assessed each of our employees’ skills requirements and established where they would like to be in the next 5 and 10 years. With this information we have designed and implemented training programs for each individual employee ensuring growth in a their careers as well as in their lives in general.
All our camp lighting is done via Solar Powered Lamps and flashlights. There are no generators used in the camps.
All our food supplies are sourced locally so reducing our carbon footprint. Many of the vegetables on safari are grown locally in Maun and Kasane and we are actively encouraging a farming project locally so we can produce vegetables, eggs, free range chickens for example.

Our serviced safaris spend 30% of the duration of the safari on local community owned and managed properties. During this time all our park entry and camping fees are paid directly to the communities in and around Khwai Village. Our Participation safaris contribute to the Okavango KopanoMekoro Community Trust for our Mekoro element of the tour. We pay the poler’s wages directly to the poler’s at the end of each mekoro trip.
