Travel guides
Our guide explores this country where, as the tourist board once claimed, 'the only risk is wanting to stay'.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTIONAbout transportation: The activities of this program include city tours by bike, walking, and using public transportations that minimise the impact in the visits of the different cities. We strive to minimize vehicle usage as much as possible.
The accomodation sites are located nearby the places you will visit reducing time in motor vehicles.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
When you travel to Colombia you will find a great biodiversity as flora and fauna due to the different regions. Collaborating closely with Colombian people we strive to safeguard the unique ecosystems we encounter. Our pledge is clear: we will go to great lengths to minimize the environmental impact of our programs in the country.
Colombia has made fairly significant steps towards a sustainable environmental policy in the past few years, for example the use of plastic bags when buying at supermarkets has a cost, we encourage our travellers to use less plastic when they shop, and recycle as much as possible.
Furthermore, we exemplify environmental awareness even in our offices, adopting the practice of a “Green Office“. This is our unified effort to reduce the amount of paper and energy we use, and to cut the amount of waste generated by us as a business. Ex: we do not print, and if necessary we recycle sheets of paper.

LOCAL ECONOMYWith us, you are a responsible traveller; part of the cost of each of our programmes will go directly to developing and sustaining local Colombian communities. You will have the opportunity to meet local families, learn how they live, and develop life long conncections.
The accomodation we use are located in safe neighborhoods nearby to the places you will visit.
In Cartagena, homestays are carefully selected and have been working with the Spanish school for many years receiving visitors from many countries and happy to share their customs, stories and creating lifelong connections.
We ensure that each visit is a special experience for the visitor. In each place you will visit on this itinerary, you will have the opportunity to know and taste typical dishes from each region, as well as their customs and ways of life. Purchasing a craft or a traditional dish contributes to the local economy of this country.
When you are in the different cities, we urge participants to explore local culinary delights at nearby restaurants. This not only enriches the traveler's experience with authentic, affordable dishes but also contributes directly to the prosperity of local businesses. Small local businesses and NGO{s contribute to green practices in the country working on: glass processing, ellaboration of handicrafts with glass and other recycle material.
During the Spanish classes in Cartagena we encourage travellers to eat and drink in establishments that follow sustainable practices in the city.
When we do not provide food services for our participants, we enthusiastically encourage them to dine at local restaurants. There is a great number of hotspots offering wide varieties of authentic dishes at affordable prices; travellers can experience an exciting new cuisine and simultaneously give money back to local businesses.

We offer highly informative sessions before all participants begin their programmes, detailing the needs and problems of local areas.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
To stimulate local economies, we create employment opportunities by hiring local guides, host families, directly from the communities we engage with.
Presently, the Quito office boasts an entirely Ecuadorian female staff. Our programs warmly welcome individuals of diverse backgrounds, embracing inclusivity for everyone, including children accompanied by their parents, couples, individuals, LGBTQ individuals, and seniors alike.
