Getting up close and personal with the Tigers in Ranthambhore was pretty special, the Taj Mahal is absolutely stunning and staying at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was amazing and a fabulous way to finish the trip.

The Taj Mahal was a real highlight as also was the safari part of our trip. The culture was amazing particularly when passing through villages and for example in Old Delhi. The most memorable moment was exploring Poros on foot: great views in the almost uninhabited western part, and climbing up to the top of Poros town and seeing where the locals lived. The views are stunning. The accommodation (both in the mountains and in Marrakech) is great. We had many memorable experiences on our trip to China. Every day produced a new experience, each different and often additional things that we had not anticipated. Clearly The Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Panda's, Forbidden Palace were all amazing, but for me the peace and quiet of drifting down the river on a bamboo raft at Guilon was just perfect after the frantic travelling around China.

Having designed my own trip, the best aspect was the freedom to spent time doing things on a whim sitting around immersing myself in the less touristy aspects of Cuba, away from the bars and CD-touting bands, instead mixing with the least affluent of the society, meeting fascinating characters and enjoying the music made by people in their own front rooms and doorsteps.
