Skadar Lake is a National Park so by paying entrance fees (included) guests enhance the further development of environmental projects which is of our great interest as well.
Transfers are provided by recognized service providers licensed by the government of Montenegro. All vehicles are eco-rated and chosen for their respective high compliance. This itinerary was designed to minimize excessive vehicle travel and to promote interaction with the natural environment. Guests are given options to reduce their carbon footprint on the tour and educated on the principals of responsible travel.
As with all of our tours, we give 5% of our profits to sponsor environmental programs within Montenegro in line with the priorities set by the ministry of sustainable tourism. Travel with us also helps support our non-profit NGO – Zero Waste Montenegro.

By travelling with us you will ensure ongoing economic benefits, alternative employment and income opportunities for local people and businesses.
As this itinerary includes travel through countryside of the country it provides an excellent opportunity for unique interactions between visitors and the local people. Your host family are for centuries living in the area, and the passion for the area is being passed from generation to generation. Visitors support the local people by both being a guest and through the purchase of local produce.
Visitors contribute to the education of local people and stakeholders by providing a cultural exchange between guests and hosts. It can foster understanding between people, this increases the chances for people to develop mutual sympathy, tolerance and understanding and to reduce prejudices and promote the sense of global brotherhood which we strongly enhance.
Tourism also helps to raise local awareness concerning the financial value of natural and cultural sites. It can stimulate a feeling of pride in local and national heritage and interest in its conservation.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
What a great holiday we had! The most memorable part of it was definitely meeting all the wonderful local people we stayed with.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
To be able to do this self drive trip you have to have ME maps.... in an invaluable tool.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, to some extent.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
10/10!! The tour operator is super efficient; always available if there is a problem. The detailed holiday plan was fantastic and without any problem. They went out of their way to make sure we have a memorable holiday. We can recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the beauty of Montenegro. We will go back there for sure!
