During this tour, we visit Chitwan National Park, home to rhinos, tigers, elephants, otters, and many birds. It is a protected area with conservation programmes for species such as rhinos and tigers. We don't include elephant rides, and we ask you to treat all animals with respect.

Many of our partner hotels and guest houses use solar power for water heating and lighting. Your guide can advise you on reducing waste and on purifying water so you don't need to buy plastic bottles.

People

We know where to find locally made goods that put money in local hands, such as souvenirs, fruit, clothing, handmade home decor, plates, and bags. We visit local shops that train and employ women, and we encourage you to learn about their projects and support them by shopping there.

Our guides speak several languages, which helps them work with more groups and avoid language barriers. We provide training and an annual salary, so our guides have income even when there are fewer tours.

The best way to learn about a culture is to dive into it. Talk to local people, take part in celebrations, eat traditional food, learn some Nepali, and teach a few words of your language.
