Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
The tour covers western part of Rajasthan i.e. Jaisalmer, Mihirgarh and Jodhpur. This part of Rajasthan has the mighty Thar Desert. Being a desert, water is a major issue. We offer hotels like Suryagarh, RAAS that have a good water conservation policy. Camels are a part of people’s lives of Rajasthan since centuries. Yet, we do not encourage people to go for camel safaris. For persons, who really want to have an experience of Camel safari, we choose only those camel safari operators that are registered by government. The registered operators are supposed to vaccinate and take good care of the camels. This process ensures that the impact on this activity is minimum on the animals. Mihirgarh is a beautiful hotel located in the middle of a desert. This hotel practises water conservation guidelines as stipulated by local government. Some of the hotels that we offer in this area have installed and started the use of solar energy. The solar energy installation cuts the energy emission in the environment.People
During this tour, we take our guests to meet the local people and understand their lifestyle. One such activity would be the Mihirgarh Village Safari. This Safari is carried out with the help of a local and authorized guide who stays at the village. The guide explains the day to day life in the village and how people earn their livelihood. We take our guests to engaging activities like pottery making and let them make their own creation with the help of a master. The guests can take the creation back as a memento. During this activity, they meet and interact with the families who make pottery and spend time with them understanding their lives. During this tour, we support such hotels who have taken initiative and started developing the skills for the neighborhood youth. We engage services from the hotels that have tied up with various Non-Governmental Organizations like Pratham, Ambuja Cement Foundation, and Kotak Education Foundation, who offer the short and practical skill development programs to the youth for their better future.Popular similar holidays
