CARBON REDUCTION

The itinerary travels by road between destinations in Somaliland, with no internal flights within the tour. Selected sightseeing visits take place on foot.

Guests are asked to use water and electricity carefully, including switching off lights and air conditioning when leaving their rooms.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

At Laas Geel, guests follow site instructions, avoid touching the rock paintings and leave objects where they find them.

During the visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund’s Geed-Deeble Centre, visitors learn about rescued cheetahs and follow the centre’s rules, including its no-touch policy.

Travellers are asked to take their litter away and decline unnecessary disposable shopping bags.

LOCAL ECONOMY

We arrange the tour with guides, drivers and service providers based in Somaliland. Visits to markets and restaurants offer opportunities to purchase directly from local businesses.

We also support selected low-income families in Somaliland through our food-support programme.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

Tour services are delivered by our team and local providers. Guests are welcomed with respect and receive information about local customs, clothing and photography permissions.

Guides explain the Independence Day celebrations and advise guests on appropriate participation. Travellers must follow instructions from guides and event organisers.
