Through responsible tourism, we aim to raise environmental awareness among both travellers and local communities while ensuring that tourism contributes positively to conservation efforts across Djibouti, Somaliland and Somalia.

CARBON REDUCTION

This journey visits Djibouti, Somaliland and Mogadishu. Road transfers and flights between destinations are specified in the itinerary. Selected visits take place on foot where conditions and security arrangements permit.

Guests are asked to use water and electricity carefully at their accommodation.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

At archaeological sites, guests follow visitor instructions, avoid touching rock paintings and leave objects where they find them.

During natural and coastal visits, travellers follow their guide’s route and instructions. Guests must not feed or touch wildlife or remove coral, shells and other natural materials.

We ask travellers to take their litter away and decline unnecessary disposable shopping bags.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY

We arrange services with guides, drivers, security personnel and partner operators based in the destinations visited.

Accommodation, meals and activities are booked with the providers included in the itinerary. Market visits offer opportunities to buy directly from local traders and craftspeople.

Services are delivered by our team and local partners, according to the destination and activity.

Guests are welcomed with respect and receive guidance on local customs, appropriate clothing and photography permissions. Guides explain the context of visits and advise travellers on respectful interactions with residents.
