We're huge fans of American national parks here at Responsible Travel.
These exciting holidays are a little bit out of the ordinary.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.
Planet
CARBON REDUCTIONCommitted to sustainable tourism, our adventure encourages minimal carbon emissions. It actively fosters low-impact activities like walking and hiking in the natural wonders of Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, using human-powered transport for two of the adventure-filled days. We also promote dining on local meals, consequently further diminishing carbon footprints.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Additionally, our tour deliberately invests in environmental and wildlife conservation by including entry fees to protected parks, essential financial contributions ensuring their preservation. A fundamental ethos of the tour is 'Leave No Trace,' a strong commitment to safeguard our surroundings by minimizing negative impacts.
Central to our tour is the employment of local expert guides, a measure enhancing authenticity, bolstering sustainable tourism, and subsequently benefiting the local economy. A part of our received tour fee goes right back into local communities, helping protect the area's indicative wildlife and precious lands.
Ultimately, our ambition extends beyond the tour. As a company we are donating 1% of each trip to sustainability causes. A small but impactful initiative that ensures our travel adventures contribute positively to the environment and the community.

LOCAL ECONOMYOur tour lays significant emphasis on bolstering the local economy and fostering a culture of inclusivity. Inviting tourists to traverse local establishments not only enriches their travel experience with unique souvenirs and tastes but also breathes life into the economic pulse of the resident communities.
Integral to our operations is the engagement of local guides for personalized explorations of Arches & Canyonlands National Parks. Not only does it manifest in valuable employment opportunities for locals, but it also amplifies investment back into the local economy.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY, AND DIVERSITY
Robustly reinforcing our pledge to community support, the majority of our operating partners' workforce in Moab are community insiders. This ensures a genuine connection between visitors and residents while enhancing the authenticity of the tourist experience.
To mirror our ethos of inclusivity, we've designed an LGBTQ+-friendly itinerary, creating a welcoming environment for every traveler. Furthermore, acknowledging the worth of our staff's services, we strictly uphold fair pay practices, guaranteeing payment meets or exceeds the minimum wage.
Cemented within this tour is our broader commitment to championing diversity, promoting inclusivity, and constructively nourishing local economies, laying a promising foundation for a symbiotic relationship between travel, tourism, and community well-being.
