Guests can join the tour by train from the UK or Europe, enabling you to leave the car at home and further reduce CO2 emissions. The strong conservation focus of all service providers in the Lake District is influenced by the National Park being awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 2017. As well as the commitment by restaurants and cafes we recommend to using locally sourced ingredients, you can access a great choice of vegetarian and vegan options in the main centres of Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick.

Environment and Wildlife: Joining this cycle tour for your visit to the Lake District will help us protect and regenerate the local biodiversity. Through the adoption of bike transport, we help reduce the need for more substantial vehicle infrastructure which is so harmful for the variety of plants and animals in the district. At the same time, as we demonstrate and promote the increased use of bicycles instead of cars, the local authorities and communities will capitalise on the opportunity to help restore nature and establish re-wilding project as they adopt their more cycle and eco-friendly development plans.
