Travel guides
Our Greek islands travel guide will have you sun-kissed and gorgeous in no time at all - pack your sunglasses.
Our travel guide tries to stick to the cold hard facts - a challenge, since it's supremely easy to fall in love with Greece.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTIONThe retreat our visitors stay at in Therasia is built in compliance with all the specifications so that it is not energy-intensive. It is stone-built, has the right orientation and the openings of the building, doors and windows, ensure coolness and natural ventilation.
During our 5 day visitors' stay on the island we don't offer them a car everyday for their visits to the attractions of the area. We arrange natural experiences for them to enjoy, such as electric bike rides, walking tours and boat tours to the island's beaches instead of car tours.
Vegetarian and vegan food is available every day in the retreat, as the owners have their own garden, where they grow the fruits and vegetables that they cook in their old stone oven.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
The villa our visitors stay at in Therasia is a sustainable accommodation. It's a house that significantly reduces its environmental impact through green best-practices in maintenance, services, logistics, products, and supplies. The core elements revolve around reducing waste, saving energy, and cutting down on water usage.
Holiday in the island of Therasia opposite Santorini has a primary eco-focus. We are inspiring our guests to live their holiday in a natural way, as in older times people did, enjoying walking, swimming, bicycling, minimising their negative impact on the environment. We inspire them to respect the natural environment by concentrating on an alternative way of travelling, mostly out of the heavy burdened tourist summer season.
We try to support the No Footprint idea by organizing small group tours and as much as possible getting around on foot or by bicycles.
The whole island of Therasia is a non-touristy area away from croudy beaches and locations. It's a natural environment full of natural reserves. Thus, we encourage our guests to behave in an environmentally responsible manner. We inform our guests about the unique flora and endemic and common species they will encounter while walking or swimming around its blue waters. We care to not disturb or threaten the behaviour of any animal by no means. We explain to our guests the need for water conservation in the Greek islands and advise them on how to minimise their water waste. We encourage our guests to bring refillable water bottles and/or recycle them in designated areas.
People
LOCAL ECONOMYWe believe travel must benefit local communities. Our main accommodation in Therasia is locally owned. In our trips we never use international chains, because we want to support the local community. All our guides for the tours on the island are locals who know deeply the life and the attractions of their place. In Therasia we arrange dinners at local taverns in small villages of the island, such as the village of Manolas with its characteristic Cycladic architecture and the almost deserted villages of Kera and Agrilia.
During this trip, we accompany our visitors to the local wineries of Therasia where they discover the long history of wine production in the area and be initiated in peculiar methods of grape growing that go back to ancient times and are still being used today.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
Even though we don't have a diversity strategy, we are very careful to give equal opportunities to the workers involved in our trips. We have friendly relations with most of these people, apart from professional ones, and we usually prefer to give work to the most vulnerable of them every time. Those who have financial difficulties or health problems or are women from single-parent families will be given priority. And then the rest follow.....
