Our tailor made trips are designed with the places we visit in mind, and to connect you with local communities and nature. We plan the route carefully so you spend proper time in each place and avoid unnecessary back-and-forth. To do this, we work with a partner on the ground who shares our values and works closely with local communities and guides.

On arrival, each guest receives a travel kit with a cotton tote bag, aluminium straws (long and short, for cocktails) in a fabric pouch and a 750ml water bottle, so you can refill as you go.

In the Pantanal, the lodge we recommend sits within a private nature reserve and is all about wildlife. Guides who grew up in the region share the Pantaneiro way of life, and activities such as river safaris and guided walks are done in small groups. That means sticking to marked paths, keeping a respectful distance from wildlife and taking all rubbish out.

At Iguazu Falls, you'll explore both sides of the falls on foot with local guides. Park entrance fees are included, which help fund the running of the national park. You'll stay first at a locally managed mid-range hotel within easy reach of the falls, then spend a night at a lodge inside the national park on the Brazilian side, so you can see the falls early and late in the day.

In Rio, your hotel is right on Copacabana beach, so it's easy to get around on foot or by bike. Our local guides show you the city's culture, communities and natural surroundings, and introduce you to local businesses along the way.

The accommodation we choose employs local staff and uses local services. By avoiding national chains, we help support livelihoods in the wider community and keep money in the areas you visit. We only use local guides, most of whom grew up in the region, so you get a genuine insight into each place and the local area benefits.

We're proud to partner with an operator led by two women. They started the company 22 years ago and have grown it by giving opportunities to people where they see potential. Their team ranges from remote workers with families in Manaus to university interns taking their first step into the travel industry. They believe in equal opportunities for their own staff, their guides and the businesses they work with. Brazil is a wonderfully diverse country and a melting pot of cultures, and everywhere you go your guide will have a different story, background and upbringing, but they all share the same passion for showing you their home.
