Once at each destination, travellers are encouraged to explore on foot whenever possible, reducing the use of vehicles while allowing a deeper appreciation of the landscapes, wildlife and local communities. Walking activities also provide more opportunities for meaningful interactions with local residents and a better understanding of everyday life in the regions visited.

In several destinations, visits are organised on foot with local guides, allowing travellers to discover villages, markets and natural sites without relying on additional vehicle transfers.

We carefully select accommodation partners that demonstrate responsible environmental practices and respect for their local surroundings. Preference is given to locally owned hotels and lodges that implement measures such as reducing water and electricity consumption, limiting single-use plastics and improving waste management.

We discuss environmental good practices with our accommodation and service partners and encourage actions such as reducing plastic use, improving waste sorting, conserving water and managing energy consumption more efficiently.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

This tour introduces travellers to Madagascar’s unique biodiversity through visits to protected areas including Kirindy Forest, Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, Isalo National Park, Ranomafana National Park and Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. Throughout the journey, we work with local guides, drivers, artisans, boat operators and small businesses. For example, travellers visit a traditional Antemoro paper workshop where they can learn about the production process and purchase locally made handicrafts directly from artisans.

Guests are encouraged to visit local markets and support small producers and craftspeople by purchasing locally made products and souvenirs.
