Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTIONOur guest does not need, locally, to use a transport vehicle that uses carbon dioxide. We provide bicycles for your daily life and you can also have access to an electric car for your trips through the National Park; Kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, horses, all ways to have fun and get to know the National Park in a sustainable and responsible way and without CO2 emissions.
In order to improve the guest's physical and mental well-being, we provide a Yoga and Reiki teacher; For vegan or vegetarian guests, it is possible to have access to these products at the farm and local grocery store, but also in local restaurants.
ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Regarding the impact of accommodation on the environment; In our accommodation we do not use any chemical products and as an example of this, the pool itself is salt water. This way we greatly reduce the impact on vegetation and consequently on local fauna. Water and electricity have a consumption warning so that we can better make guests aware of their use and needs. Way to find a balance between need and use. We use solar panels for electrical supply and water heating, thus increasing the use of general energy and reducing the use of other more polluting energy sources.
It should be noted that our guests receive a guide at check-in on good environmental practices to follow and pay attention to when staying at the accommodation or when walking through the territory of the Peneda Geres National Park.

LOCAL ECONOMYAll accommodation is part of and belongs to the local residents of the territory, not part of any group outside of it. These are family units. Here, the cleaning lady, our guides, the gardeners and all those who provide the most varied services belong to the community where we are located. As well as all food products are purchased locally and our guests benefit locally and just a few meters from the House from two community grocery stores. Around the property, whether or not they use our guides, guests have trails that take them to visit monuments, historic villages, taste local cuisine or simply enjoy the mountainous landscape of the National Park. The local community is also supported annually with financial support for 3 children who have extreme needs at the primary school. We believe that by increasing the interaction and support of the local community financially and psychologically we contribute to greater unity among the population.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY
