Description of Family holiday in Vietnam
This two week family adventure takes you to experience the sheer excitement of Vietnam. You visit busy cities, scenic bays and river deltas for a fantastic mix of things to see and do which will keep the whole family entertained. Mixing with the friendly Vietnamese, you discover a fascinating country and of course some great food. Highlights include exploring by cyclo (rickshaw), a water puppet show in Hanoi, boat trips to fantastic islands with great beaches, ancient pagodas and temples, wonderful markets, a trip on an overnight train and much more!
Anyone in good health should be able to take part. There is no real physical difficulty, though a few travelling days are quite long, modes of transport are a little antiquated and heat / humidity can be high. Minimum age: 5 years

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Food and different modes of transport
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Don't hesitate, just book it! And while you're there, have an open mind, go with the flow and follow the food safety rules!
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes to an extent. Plastic usage in Vietnam is horrendous, but having one single plastic water container on the bus was one way of offsetting it, as was having
fabric bags with 'No plastic water bottles' written on it in Vietnamese. I enjoyed interacting with locals the most - especially the efforts that were gone to in the
Mekong Delta. The KOTO project is a great initiative and I was proud to be travelling with our tour company
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Absolutely fabulous - our family loved it!
Responsible Travel
Planet
As a company we aim to contribute to the environmental preservation of the destinations we visit and to reduce any negative impacts our operations may have. This translates to actions such as using local transport where safe to do so in order to reduce emissions, observing all national and marine park visitor rules and operating a ‘take in, take back out’ waste management system, to name but a few examples. Through our inhouse foundation we also invest money into environmental initiatives that benefit the planet, including restoring kelp forests to help reverse the effects of global warming and protecting endangered species such as sea turtles and elephants.People
The very ethos of our style of travel is responsible; small groups on fully escorted tours, experiencing the very best of a region, a culture and a landscape, with a friendly local hand guiding the way. Our itineraries are designed to give our travellers real life experiences without compromising the part of the world through which we are journeying, this is our commitment as a global tour operator.Popular similar holidays
