Planet
As a B-Corp, sustainable travel is at the heart of what we do and each of our trips includes at least one GiveBack experience, designed around the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This trip includes two GiveBack experiences within the itinerary. In Bangkok you will be visiting Poomjal Garden - an environmental project committed to sustainability which is also an organic farm and restaurant. In Chiang Mai this trip will take you to ChangChill - an ethical elephant sanctuary with a strict no touching policy. ChangChill’s philosophy is that elephants should be elephants so they are free to roam around their eight acres of land without being disturbed by humans. You will watch them in their natural environment, trekking through the forest with an expert guide. In Koh Kood we can arrange an immersive experience learning about coral propagation. Your instructors will show you how to the process works from beginning to end and your contributions help ensure the future of the local reefs of Koh Kood.
People
This journey isn’t just about seeing Thailand—it’s about experiencing it in a way that benefits the people who call it home.In Phrae, you’ll stay with a local family in a countryside homestay, offering a rare opportunity to connect with daily life in a traditional Thai community. Your hosts will not only provide a warm welcome but will also introduce you to their way of life, whether that’s through cooking local dishes together, exploring the surrounding countryside, or trying your hand at a local craft. The fees from your stay go directly back into the community, helping to sustain these family-run homestays and preserve Phrae’s cultural heritage.
Beyond Phrae, the entire trip is designed with ethical travel at its core. We work exclusively with independent, locally owned partners who have a deep understanding of their communities. This means your guides are not only experts but also fairly paid professionals, as tips for guides are already factored into the trip price—removing any uncertainty and ensuring equitable wages.
By choosing to explore Thailand in this way, you’re actively supporting small businesses, contributing to the livelihoods of local families, and ensuring that the benefits of tourism are felt where they matter most.
