Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Within this itinerary we have included properties offering boutique accommodation, which have small numbers of guests who can be catered for specifically, reducing excess waste. Not only does this create a more personalized and unique experience, our guests are minimizing their impact on the environment whilst they travel. The RAC Karri Valley has been included within this trip because it offers eco-friendly activities such as walking trails and multi-use equipment hire for guests. Our guests are therefore, enjoying nature and their surrounds without impacting the natural beauty of the region and knowing that they are travelling responsibly.
Aligned with our responsible travel values, we have also selected tours which provide up-close encounters with native wildlife, without impacting the animals in their natural habitat. Included within this itinerary is Rottnest Island, a place known for its pristine, abundant bird population and plethora of coral and tropical fish. It comes as no surprise that the island is listed as an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA) and is renowned for its high conversation and community values. We have carefully selected a visit to this spectacular destination in support of the active effort to protect the life and land.
We support a charity which encourages guests to take three items of litter from the beach when they visit, to help keep our oceans clean by reducing waste and pollution. We also encourage our guests to travel via low carbon transport to minimize their impact on the surroundings. This trip centers around a 4-point trip, manageable via shared transport with no high-impact domestic flights.
The Impacts of this Trip
We promise to have a positive effect on the local communities encountered on this journey. We have used a number of measures to ensure that travelers are helping the local community to thrive, spreading the tourism income to those met along the journey. We promise to support the community through the use of local guides and active encouragement to visit local producers, craft makers and cultural attractions, within this itinerary a highlight is the local guiding in the Margaret River. The guides’ expert knowledge of the local region is astounding, and their enthusiasm is infectious, there is plenty to learn about how they are playing their part in protecting and maintaining the natural beauty of the area. Throughout the tour there are generous servings of some of the Margaret River’s finest local produce.
Our specialists have traveled to all of our destinations personally, meeting and sourcing local guides, tour operators and restaurateurs so that we can support the community and recommend them within our itineraries. When we travel, we seek to create connections and lasting relationships with the communities that we stay in. We encourage our guests to travel respectfully and because of our positive reputation, we are able to ensure that they are welcomed locally also. Our guests are always greeted with the warmest of welcomes at our smaller properties such as The Rosewood Guesthouse in this itinerary. We have a lasting relationship with the owners and they are well known to us here, as almost all of our specialists have personally stayed at the property and met the wonderful team there.
