This horse riding journey is designed to explore the Aravalli countryside and villages at a slower pace, with much of the experience taking place on horseback rather than by motorized sightseeing vehicles.

We encourage guests to respect the natural environment and local communities throughout the journey. Riders are asked not to leave waste behind, and we carry waste bags so that rubbish can be collected and disposed of appropriately.

We carry drinking-water containers and refill them during the journey where suitable facilities are available, helping to reduce unnecessary use of single-use plastic bottles. Where practical, we also use biodegradable products.

Horse welfare is an important part of the operation. We use trained grooms who accompany the riding group and are responsible for feeding, watering and caring for the horses. The horses are managed in alternating groups so that they receive appropriate rest between rides.

Rides normally begin during the cooler part of the morning, with a rest period during the hottest part of the day before riding resumes later. If a horse becomes tired or injured, it is removed from the ride and arrangements are made for it to return to the stable for rest and care.

We work with local horse stables and staff from nearby communities, and the riding operation is managed with consideration for the welfare of the horses and the surrounding environment.

People

Local communities are an important part of this horse riding experience.

The route passes through villages where local families prepare lunches for our guests. These arrangements are organized locally, including the purchase and preparation of food, providing income for people in the villages we visit.

Several villages along the route also have small-scale traditional crafts. Guests have opportunities to see locally made products and, where they wish, purchase handicrafts directly from local sellers.

Some of the decorative work used on traditional riding equipment, including saddles, breast collars and stirrups, is made by local craftspeople and women from nearby villages.

Our riding trainers, grooms and other members of the support team are recruited locally where possible. We also provide opportunities for new staff to learn the work and develop their experience in horse riding tourism.

The itinerary can also include community-support activities such as educational-material distribution and other local initiatives, where these are scheduled and available during the relevant trip.
