While visiting Australia, I asked a friend of mine what I shouldn't miss while I was there. He said New Zealand. Now, in fairness he was a Kiwi himsel...
I am a grown man, and have travelled all over Africa. But the first time I saw a tiger in the wilds of India, I cried.
Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
Wherever possible we include methods of low carbon travel in our itineraries. On this tour, travellers can electro bike along the traffic free cycle path out of Queenstown to Jacks’ Point, and take the magnificent TranzAlpine Express train across the Southern Alps.Travellers have the opportunity to visit the wildlife sanctuary of Tiritiri Matangi where most of New Zealand’s endemic birds species can be found, and guides will share their knowledge of the unique environment they live in there.
Travellers are also encouraged to stop off at the Waipoua Forest between Auckland and the bay of Islands to meet the ‘Lord of the Forest’ Tane Mahuta – the largest Kauri Tree in the world.
For every booking taken we make a donation on our travellers behalf to New Zealand’s unique Trees for Travellers Project. The project is based in Kaikoura , and is re-foresting a local reserve with native trees. www.treesfortravellers.co.nz.
