Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
This trip includes three of the most stunning natural parks in the region. The entrance fees contribute to the maintenance and conservation of these pristine settings. Local guides will advise travellers as to how to minimise their impact on the environment. Some key guidelines include keeping to marked trails, staying at official campsites and disposing of all waste responsibly and recycling whatever possible.Travellers will have a chance to camp in Torres del Paine National Park, in Chile’s Patagonia. Spending four nights under the stars and experience the spectacular scenery of this National Park will simply be unforgettable. Travellers will be briefed as to how to camp responsibly and respectfully. We have developed some handy guidance to help respect the outdoors.
Useful tips on how to travel responsibly, as well as information on local flora and fauna can also be found in the road book we provide to our travellers.
On the cruise to the Beagle Channel, travellers will circumnavigate different islands. A great opportunity to photograph and appreciate the wildlife without disturbing the ecosystem. Local wildlife includes penguin colonies, sea lions and sea birds, like albatrosses and petrels.
This is a tailor-made, independent trip; groups are very small, normally comprised of 2 to 4 people, helping to minimise the negative environmental and social impact.
People
We support local employment and communities in our choice of accommodation, tours, restaurants, etc. We want local populations to benefit from the resources generated by tourism, by putting as much as possible back into the local communities. We always take into consideration the feedback we receive from the local population to try to improve the quality of services in the best way possible. This trip is no different from others we provide, in that it encourages real interaction between people while respecting the culture, history and customs of each individual community. All travellers are provided with detailed guidelines as to how to travel responsibly. We provide our travellers with a road book with useful information on local culture and customs.
We donate 3% of the total price of this trip to co-fund micro-projects implemented by local schools, associations and ONGs. These are community projects based on education and conservation activities, especially addressed to young people.
