Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

As a local Argentina B Corp Travel Company, we hold a deep appreciation for the Earth's natural wonders and understand the importance of their preservation. However, we believe that sustainability alone is insufficient. Travel, in our view, is a potent instrument for creating a positive impact on the destinations we explore.

CARBON REDUCTION

-Reduction of Flying and Low-Impact Ground Mobility
Although domestic flights are necessary to connect distant regions such as Patagonia and Iguazú (Buenos Aires - El Calafate - Puerto Iguazu - Buenos Aires), this itinerary minimizes additional flights by grouping destinations efficiently into a single north–south route. Within each region, travelers move by shared transportation—vans and minibuses—to reduce emissions per person.

-Human-Powered Exploration
The itinerary includes multiple low-carbon activities that allow travelers to explore Argentina’s landscapes using human-powered transport. These include guided walking tours through Buenos Aires’ neighborhoods, trekking during the Mayo Spirit excursion in El Calafate, and extensive hiking circuits through Iguazú National Park. Such activities highlight the natural environment while reducing the need for motorized vehicles.

-Local and Vegetarian Cuisine
Throughout the itinerary, guests can choose vegetarian and vegan meals, especially during the tango dinner show in Buenos Aires and in regional restaurants in Patagonia and Iguazú. We promote dining in local establishments that use seasonal and locally sourced produce, helping to lower food transport emissions and support regional agriculture.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

-Protected Areas and Biodiversity Conservation
This adventure includes entrance to Los Glaciares National Park and Iguazú National Park, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Park fees directly contribute to conservation efforts, ecosystem monitoring, and the maintenance of visitor infrastructure that supports sustainable tourism.

-Nature Education and Responsible Guiding
All nature-based excursions are led by local guides trained in environmental interpretation and wildlife protection. In El Calafate, guides explain the glacier’s formation and ecosystem within the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. In Iguazú, travelers learn about rainforest biodiversity, native species such as coatis and toucans, and the importance of preserving subtropical habitats.

-Sustainable Accommodation Practices
Partner hotels in each destination are small, locally managed properties that apply sustainability principles such as recycling programs, energy and water conservation, and a reduction in single-use plastics.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY

-Local Ownership and Community Benefit
The accommodations and services featured in this trip are primarily Argentine-owned, ensuring that most tourism income remains within the country. We work directly with local suppliers, guides, and drivers to maximize economic benefits in each region—Buenos Aires, Patagonia, and Iguazú.

-Support for Local Culture and Products
The itinerary includes visits to local markets and artisan areas, such as Buenos Aires’ San Telmo and Caminito districts, where guests can purchase handmade crafts and artwork. This approach supports small-scale producers, artisans, and local cultural preservation.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

-Local Employment and Fair Pay
All guides, drivers, and support staff are Argentine professionals, many of whom live in the destinations where they operate. We ensure fair pay above local standards and comply with Argentina’s labor laws and ethical guidelines for tourism employment.

-Diversity, Equity, and LGBTQ+ Inclusion
We promote an inclusive workplace and travel experience, fostering equal opportunity regardless of gender, origin, or sexual orientation. The company is LGBTQ+ friendly and ensures that all travelers feel safe and respected throughout their journey.
