This program includes several beautiful National Parks and Reserves, with a great biodiversity. Our travellers are briefed by local park rangers as to how to minimise their impact upon the environment, including staying on the marked tracks, and disposing of litter properly. Given the purity of the water in Patagonia, we also encourage travellers to drink tap water rather than buy bottled water, to avoid excess waste of plastic. We ask everyone to respect wildlife by observing wild animals from a distance and never, never feed them. When visiting these wild places and paying entrance fees, our travellers contribute to different conservation projects implemented in the area.

We also work with hotels and accommodation that try to have a low impact upon the environment, from water and electricity conservation to responsible methods of waste disposal.

Such private small groups, averaging just 2 to 4 travellers have a very low impact on the environment.

People

We want to support local employment, ensuring that as many local people as possible benefit by our travellers. For this, we work with small local agents throughout Patagonia, with established RT policies in place, employing local guides and staff. Hotels are small properties often run by their owners and families. We normally avoid including meals on our itineraries and encourage travellers to try local restaurants spreading the benefits among local businesses.

We recommend stopping at small villages along the way to gain an insight into the local culture. All travellers are issued with a roadbook containing notes on local culture and customs and detailed guidelines about how to travel responsibly.

When you travel with us, 3% of the total price of the trip is invested in a local educational project. Each year, we support and develop educational programs focused on ancestral cultures, thanks to a solidarity development fund generated by our travellers.
