Highlights
Guided sea kayaking | Lopud island| Kolocep island | Swimming in sea caves | Island hikes to secret coves | DubrovnikDescription of Croatia sea kayaking holidays
This short, five day sea Croatia sea kayaking holiday immerses you in the Adriatic archipelago, easily and exquisitely. Staying on the island of Lopud for four nights, a very quick journey from Dubrovnik, this island is beyond pretty. With its countless coves, sandy beaches, stunning ancient woodland, traditional villages and nearby archipelagic neighbours, all enveloped by the turquoise Adriatic, it really is paddling in paradise. Dubrovnik, sometimes called the Pearl of the Adriatic, is so close, you can even paddle around its magnificent medieval walls on a day trip from the island. This sea kayaking holiday includes three full days of paddling, fully guided, covering between ten and fifteen kilometres a day. But taking nice long lunches and siestas at one of the islands many beauty spots. Or indeed, another nearby island such as Kolocep. In the late afternoon we paddle back to our base, staying in a small, locally owned island guesthouse where rooms are ensuite, shared, and within easy access to lovely island walks, shops and traditional tavernas.
There is no shortage of swimming and snorkelling on this holiday either, with sea caves and coves around every corner.

Responsible tourism: Croatia sea kayaking holidays
Environment
All of our guides are aware of their surrounding and they are constantly providing the travelers with suggestions on how to minimize potential negative impacts to the environment and marine ecosystems; to preserve water while showering, to clean the beach after themselves and use less plastic products, to carry reusable water bottles and store food in non disposable containers. Our guides emphasize on the importance of leaving the environment as it is. We observe marine life but we do not disturb it.
Our kayaks are made of recyclable plastic. They do not cause any form of air or water pollution and they do not produce noise that could be disturbing for marine life.
We are economic in use of water and electricity. We use public transport; regular ferry lines when crossing to the islands and public buses. We use rain water to rinse off all of our equipment.
Islands have their waste management. Guests are advised to separate their waste at the accommodation and never throw anything overboard while kayaking.
Families that accommodate our guests are recycling, using compost, growing their own fruit and vegetables and using rain water for watering the plants.
Community
We work with local guest houses on the islands and we do not take the commission from the local guesthouse owners. We suggest that our travelers visit historically, culturally and environmentally important sights (Old Town of Dubrovnik, Renaissance villas on the island of Sipan, Nature Park Lokrum).
We volunteer with our services in local welfare projects by donating to organisations in Croatia that take care of children with special needs such as Palcic gore, Djeca leptiri , centre for mentally challenged children.

If you have the chance, don't miss out on the dinner on a small farm in the hillsides of Lopud. The three days of kayaking around the beautiful islands was a perfect combination of activity and relaxation. The guides were skilled and very helpful. Fantastic - looking forward to booking a trip for next year with the same company in a different part of Croatia. Felt very well looked after, and though it was only a short four day kayaking break, felt like a lot was packed into it. Read full reviewReviewed on 27 Jul 2014 by Michelle Blackmon
Hiking on the island of Lopud was breathtaking and snorkeling in the crystal clear water was delightful. The guides we had were wonderful, especially Ivana who got us where we needed to be and helped us tremendously when our plans changed. Kayaking around beautiful such shores in beautiful weather - but also kayaking in strong winds and rain, which was exciting and challenging! On the second day, Amir our instructor showed us a fantastic blue lit cave that could only be reached by jumping out of the kayaks and swimming through a small entrance lots of fun.
