As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Transport will involve communal travel wherever possible, so the effects of single person transport will be minimised as much as it can be. No internal flights are used, which not only brings the necessary benefit of minimising environmental impact, but also maximises your own experience of the country itself by being able to observe and contribute from ground level. After all, you’re free to pop into local cafes on the way to the next destination, or stop off at nearby sights if you so desire. This gives you a greater sense of autonomy whilst also providing a genuine contribution to the local economy, all whilst minimising carbon emissions.
That being said, it is important that we ask you, our clients, to also respect our outlook on this. Infrastructure that we take for granted might not be present in many of our destinations. As such we ask you to be mindful of your own rubbish, and try to recycle whenever you can.
We encourage all our clients to bring a reusable water bottle. Our partnership with Water-to-Go will even give you a discount at their online checkout when purchasing a portable and reusable water bottle and/or water filter. This can ensure clean drinking water whilst reducing the use of single-use plastics. You can make sure your conscience is as clear as the water you drink!
The Impacts of this Trip
One thing we have come to understand is that generosity is often much more commonplace in many of our destinations than it is in our own native countries. As such, it is of vital importance that we consciously strive to give back to local communities and economies wherever we can. For the first step in combating this we ensure to hire local people as guides for all our tours, ensuring they receive both fair working conditions and a fair salary for the great work they do.
The choices of accommodation throughout this tour have been meticulously chosen by our experts in order to provide an experience that balances both comfort with authenticity. Where available we have chosen locally themed small-scale accommodation which reflects our personal ethos for sustainable tourism that reflects the real character of the country.
This trickles down into the activities undertaken and sites visited. They all reflect the unique nature of the country or region travelled. This means that at the culmination of your trip to Azerbaijan, you will leave having felt fulfilled both environmentally – on account of communal transport and proper waste management – and culturally, by being granted a genuine insight courtesy of a local guide, and experienced some of the things that make Azerbaijan such a wonderfully unique nation.
As a further effort to aid in our quest for ethical travel, a token donation will go to United Aid For Azerbaijan (UAFA) our chosen charity in Azerbaijan. We chose this charity after careful consideration due to their earnest commitment to lending aid to impoverished children who have been abandoned by family, or who suffer due to social difficulties and disabilities.
