Enjoy a car free circuit. The choice of sardinia donkeys let us to discover the place at a slow pace and at the same time to minimize our impact by reducing the CO2 emission.
Use of glass, water bottles and other reusable and recyclable materials to avoid and reduce any type of waste throughout our stays. We tell to our customers to bring their own reusable water bottle before they join our holidays, plus we refill them on the way so no need to buy plastic ones We personally verify that the same rules are respected in all the accommodation places selected for our tours.
We select accommodations that are sensible about the environment and in some cases we support them with small suggestions and by sharing our vision so that they can become more sustainable.
We make sure that food is always fresh and 100% local.
By giving the example of eco-tourism people raise their awareness about a different approach that is both sustainable for nature and local economy.
The Impacts of this Trip
On this trip we walk through an ancient Transhumance path that we discovered talking with the village elders. At the same time we keep alive an ancient local tradition.
Be a shepherd in sardinia it’s not easy, especially if you make this choice as a young guy. To support this activity we chose a young local shepherd to be our guide during the donkey trek.
Accomodations, eatings, activities and people involved are always locals so that all our tour benefits go on the local community. On the way we are going to sleep in farmhouses, small family-run hotels and huts. We‘ll visit a local small producer of wine and small authentic villages.
We work only with small group size. A small number of people allow to stay in unique places out of the mass tourism and to make a real connection with the local people and their traditions.
We chose to organize this eco-trip in one of the most unspoiled part of the island, Ogliastra, in such a way to avoid bringing even more tourism to the parts already affected.
