On this trip we use our own local Europe-based supplier who shares our commitment to responsible business, from waste and water management to ensuring we are leaving as minimal a footprint as possible. Where we use a third party to assist in the running of the trip we ensure they are educated on all aspects of responsible business, and supported in making any changes they need to improve in this regard. We do not use any flights on this trip, instead moving around in a minibus and using a public ferry. This allows the group to cover lots of distance with a smaller carbon footprint.

People

An important part of travel is mixing with the locals. On this trip, we use a local guide in Gjirokaster who shares the unique history in her hometown with our travellers. The group then visit another female run business to see how the local coffee is prepared and sit down and hear stories of Albanian life form these women. Including activities like this means we can support local business. We use family run hotels in both Corfu and Dhermi beach, both are slightly away from the main tourist areas and larger corporately owned hotels. Our tour leaders all are local, and we only use locally owned transport companies.
