1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We just returned from an 11 days’ custom made family private tour to Azerbaijan, Georgia & Armenia, tailored specifically for us by Ani, and it was perfect! A solid 10/10 for all aspects of our tour, and a solid 5 star Tripadvisor score from the 4 of us.

We had private driver and guide for each leg of the tour, and they were all absolutely amazing – each had their unique qualities that made our trip great, memorable and enjoyable. We are very grateful to Rugiya & TT from Azerbaijan, Nino & Temo from Georgia, and Raffi & Artak from Armenia who all made our trip so smooth and successful, with such a friendly manner.

Ani orchestrated it all so perfectly from start to finish: enquiries stage, booking, payments, changes when required, and checking in regularly during the trip.

Thank you so much Ani and the entire team that work with the tour operator – what a wonderful example of customer service, customer care, efficiency, flexibility, attentiveness to our needs and wishes, professionalism and welcoming approach – you spoiled us and made us feel like VIPs.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Just let Ani or anyone at the tour operator know what you like most, what gets you most excited and what is less of your cup of tea. Then sit back and relax, and Ani / the tour operator will tailor make the perfect holiday for you.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Visiting less touristic countries in itself allows the local to show the best of their countries and also earn some much needed income.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

10/10. A solid 5 star holiday and experience.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

Planet

This tour prioritizes sustainable travel practices to protect the stunning landscapes and biodiversity of the Caucasus. We work with accommodations that implement eco-friendly measures, such as energy-efficient systems, waste reduction, and water conservation initiatives. Travelers are given reusable water bottles, helping to eliminate single-use plastics throughout the trip.

Our itinerary includes visits to national parks, reserves, and UNESCO-protected sites, where part of the entrance fees contribute to preservation projects and environmental education. For instance, stops in regions like Sheki in Azerbaijan and Dilijan National Park in Armenia showcase the area's natural beauty while supporting local conservation efforts.

Additionally, we promote slow travel by incorporating walking tours, small-group activities, and locally sourced meals, all of which lower the carbon footprint of the tour. By engaging in responsible travel choices, guests contribute to the ongoing protection of the Caucasus' unique environment and its natural treasures.

To further reduce the environmental impact, we choose accommodations and partners that offset their carbon emissions and prioritize renewable energy sources. Guests have the chance to learn about local conservation efforts directly from experts, fostering a deeper appreciation for the region’s natural heritage. Additionally, we support tree-planting initiatives and other local environmental projects, leaving a positive impact long after the tour ends.

People

Our tour actively supports local communities across Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia by prioritizing partnerships with family-owned guesthouses, restaurants, and small businesses. This ensures that the economic benefits of tourism stay within the region, empowering communities and creating sustainable livelihoods.

Travelers enjoy authentic culinary experiences featuring locally sourced ingredients, often prepared by family owned businesses eager to share the flavors of their homeland. Workshops with artisans, such as rug makers in Azerbaijan or pottery makers in Georgia, provide opportunities to learn about and support traditional crafts that are vital to the region's cultural identity.

We work exclusively with local guides who provide deep insight into the history and culture of each destination, offering authentic stories and experiences that promote cross-cultural understanding. By engaging with locals in meaningful ways, guests help foster respect, preserve cultural heritage, and contribute to the well-being of the communities they visit.

Travelers can take part in optional activities like purchasing handcrafted goods directly from local artisans, ensuring fair compensation for their work. Special cultural events, such as traditional dance or music performances are organized in collaboration with locals to provide authentic experiences while directly benefiting the communities involved. Through these efforts, we aim to create lasting, positive relationships between travelers and the people of the Caucasus.
