We conduct regular environmental reviews of our trips and suppliers to help identify opportunities to improve environmental practices and reduce impacts where possible.

Travellers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, and reusable INTRO branded bottles are available to purchase for those who need one.

As part of our Small Change initiative, we support a range of environmental and community focused projects. In 2019, we partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to plant 10 trees for every booking received. Since late 2023, we have also worked with Path Net Zero to measure the emissions associated with our tours and with Veritree to support verified tree planting projects.

Throughout Mexico, we travel overland by private vehicle and work with local accommodation and suppliers that align with our responsible travel standards. We conduct regular environmental reviews of our suppliers to help identify opportunities to improve environmental practices where possible.

We have a unique experience visiting the Indigenous communities of
San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, witnessing the unique fusion of ancient Mayan traditions and contemporary religions giving us an insight into their history and culture.

Our guides, transport providers and local team are provided with extensive training, support and benefits that go beyond just fair remuneration.

All groups are given extensive cultural tips and education along the way so they are sensitive too and can have meaningful and beneficial exchanges with the local community at all our stops.
