Even though most hotels in Romania are still not energy independent, we can say that owners make every effort and apply eco-friendly strategies:
• Reducing energy consumption
• Replacing disposable hotel supplies with refill systems
• Efficient water management
• Correct waste recycling
This 8-day tour includes overnight stays in different cities. In each city we park the car and then "forget" about it. We encourage exploring the city either on foot or using public transportation, bicycles, and electric scooters. Brasov, Cluj, Sibiu, Bucharest are cities that offer these options very conveniently.In every town we have included, in our tour program, walking tours instead of bus/car tours.
For some time now, vegetarian or vegan menus are not any issue anymore. Our tours include local restaurants, which cook with local ingredients - vegetables, cheese, butter, fruits - either purchased from small farms or grown in their own gardens. For example, in Bran you have the opportunity to taste different types of local cheeses. Burduf cheese, especially Bran cheese, is one of the Romanian culinary specialties, traditionally prepared in mountain sheepfolds. It is a traditional product, perhaps the oldest type of cheese made in Romania.
One of the beauties of Romania is that you can still find organic food just by walking down the street. People still keep their grandmother's gardens. For example, green walnuts or summer apples can be found in the markets on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, places that you can visit on our tours.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE
Being small group tours, these trips not only minimize the negative impact on the environment but also allow you to interact more easily with the locals, giving you the possibility to learn about culture and traditions straight from the source.
We encourage our guests do a little reading before coming to find out more about the environment problems in Transylvania: deforestation, pollution of waters, soils and atmosphere, soils degradation, soils erosion. We provide suggestions on how best to protect the surrounding environment. Guests will receive a pre-trip information pack via e-mail, to minimize the use of paper, which will inform them about issues relating to the place they will travel. Furthermore, our tour guides are well-educated multilingual people who can offer guests their advice about what each of our guest can do, during their trip, in order to minimize the impact for the environment and as an interpreter and offer insights on current regional issues

This tour offers you a well rounded Romanian experience, introducing you to Transylvania’s finest scenery and folklore and providing you with the possibility of getting in contact with the genuine peasant culture by exploring rural areas, the work shops of famous artists and craftsmen, visiting museums or landscapes made famous in the Romanian literature.

To make sure the money stays where needed we only use local suppliers and where the itinerary allows us we also use small family run businesses. This is actually an ideal opportunity to spend more time with the locals but also ensure that the financial benefits of your visit reach the people of the area and not some large companies based outside the region. Your visit is of great importance for the artist, craftsmen, museums, castles or the small rural communities you’ll visit as it provides them with the a motivation, a reason to carry on the traditions. You’ll be able to purchase locally goods starting with food and ending with souvenirs, handicrafts.
In terms of accommodation we have as an example Casa Wagner from Sighisoara and Brasov which are own by a Romanian family, also Hanul Bran Hotel from Bran is a local family business.
