CARBON REDUCTION

Efforts have been made to reduce carbon emissions from the cruises in the Galapagos as this is a Land Based Excursion in the Galapagos.

We have a trekking day in Galapagos and in Peru. (2 days) of the trip.



ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

This trip includes accommodations that actively contribute to restoring nature. On Santa Cruz Island, you'll stay at Galapagos Magic, which has undertaken a reforestation project with 1,200 Escalesia trees to rewild the giant tortoise habitat.

The Reforestation Trek in Ollantaytambo contributes $10 per passenger to the NGO Valle Sagrado Verde, which works to prevent wildfires in the Sacred Valley. During the trek, participants engage in forestry work within the Sacred Valley's last endemic forest, the Paper Tree Forest, which includes planting trees or removing weeds around young trees.

In the Galapagos all of our guides are expert naturalistic guides.

Another important thing is that by going to the Galapagos we are helping protect this pristine ecosystem via the payment of the Galapagos entry fee and the same with Machu Picchu.

LOCAL ECONOMY

All accommodations are locally owned.

All our guides are local to each destination. We work exclusively with local restaurants and incorporate visits to the Misminay Community in the Sacred Valley. This Community-Based Experience was created by the Misminay Tourism Association to generate income for its members.

In our city tours of Quito and Cusco, we involve local market vendors to benefit a broader range of people in the tourism value chain. Additionally, in Quito, we collaborate with a local cacao growers' cooperative run entirely by women.


EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

We are all, 100%, of our country. Ecuadorians in Ecuador and Peruvians in Peru.

This itinerary includes a visit to Misminay Community which is an indigenous community in the Sacred Valley. Historically Quechua commuinties in Peru have been marginalized and haven’t access to economic opportunities besides self sufficient ones like agriculture. Thaks to the cash flow that tourism has brought to tht ecommunuty Misminay has lowered the rate of yought living the community and people have been able send to send ther kids to university.

All our payments and contract relations hisp are according to the law. We haven an Inclusion and Diversity Policy that assures that no one is discriminated.

This itinerary can work for anyone, regardless of sexual orientations, gender, etc. We can adapt the trip for people with accessibility requirements.
