Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

CARBON REDUCTIONThis tour has been designed to minimise carbon emissions wherever possible. The most obvious way we do this, is by exploring the beautiful english countryside on our bikes, powered by our own bodies. We plan our routes to minimise the need for transfers (although some are unavoidable) and ensure that the start and end points of our tours are easily accessed by rail, or other forms of public transport. We only work with hotels that share our commitment to environmentally friendly travel too. On this tour, you'll find locally sourced food at the hotel, with vegan and vegetarian options.
ENVIRONMENT & WILDLIFE
A lot of the joy of mountain biking is being out in the wild and appreciating the natural beauty around you, so we care deeply about preserving this for future generations. To do this we only use routes that use legally permissible rights of way, we have a strict "leave no trace" policy for all guests, we educate our guests on trail etiquette and ensure our equipment is cleaned each night to minimise the risk of spreading invasive flora/fauna.
People
LOCAL ECONOMYTravelling by bike takes you through places that most tourists wont see, or even know exist. This allows us to avoid tourist traps and big chains, and visit the best independent cafes, pubs and attractions that are the lifeblood of rural communities in this part of the world. All support staff on the tour are locals too.
EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY & DIVERSITY
Our team is made up of local folk with a passion for sharing their part of the country by mountain bike. We ensure our team are rewarded fairly for the hard work they put in making our tours special and only work with partners who treat their staff the same way. We run these tours because we want to share our favourite mountain biking with people from the world over, and from all backgrounds. If you can you manage the rides, you're welcome to join us, not matter who you are or where you come from.
