We choose accommodations that value environmental responsibility. Many of the boutique hotels and lodges you will stay in use renewable energy, water-saving programs, and focus on seasonal, locally grown produce. This keeps food miles low while supporting nearby farmers.

We work with a wide range of accommodations that have environmental policies. For example, Sheen Falls Lodge, County Kerry – a former fishing lodge set on a private estate. The property focuses on sustainable practices such as using produce from its own gardens, supporting nearby farmers and fishermen, and running conservation programs across its woodlands and river.

Waste reduction
Guests are encouraged to carry refillable water bottles, shop locally, and avoid single-use plastics. Combined with the practices of our partners, these small actions help protect Ireland’s coasts, rivers, and mountains so that the next generation of travellers can enjoy them just as much.

From drivers and guides through to hoteliers, activity providers, and restaurant teams, we estimate that well over 90% of the people involved in delivering our trips are residents of the regions in which they work.
