The itineraries we create are guided by three aims: looking after the places we visit, supporting local communities and helping our guests travel responsibly. To do this, we work with a boutique team on the ground who share our approach.

The route keeps domestic flights to a minimum, so you spend more of your time on the ground. We use road travel rather than flying wherever we can, and shared vehicles rather than private transfers on longer journeys, which means fewer emissions per passenger. Excursions run in small groups, using fewer vehicles and helping to avoid overcrowding. Where possible, you'll explore on foot, by bike or by kayak. Visits to protected areas such as Los Glaciares National Park include park entry fees, which help fund the running of the park.

Throughout the trip, local guides explain the landscapes and wildlife you're seeing and share practical tips on how to reduce your impact while you're there.

We choose small, locally owned accommodation wherever possible.

Every Antarctic voyage includes an education programme, with polar experts sharing real-time observations and knowledge with passengers.

Each excursion includes local guides, which means employment for residents and storytelling rooted in Argentinian culture. We choose every experience with care, so you meet local people and places in a genuine way. The properties are small boutique or family-owned hotels, so tourism revenue goes into the local economy.

Kosten Aike Hotel takes its name from the Tehuelche (Indigenous) words for "place of the wind". Most of its interior furnishings come from local artists and are inspired by Indigenous designs, and the hotel buys local products and employs local people. Chaltén Suites supports local schools and the volunteer fire brigade, gives local artists and musicians space to show their work, and has a shop selling local crafts, food and artisanal products.
