CARBON REDUCTION

This trip is designed to show Egypt in a way that’s more relaxed, more real, and lighter on the environment. Instead of jumping on several domestic flights, we use the overnight sleeper train and overland routes whenever possible. This reduces carbon emissions and also gives travellers the chance to actually see Egypt’s landscapes, farms, small villages, and desert scenery as they move from one place to another.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

For the Nile Cruise and Red Sea part of the trip, we try to work with partners who are taking real steps toward better environmental practices, such as managing waste properly, reducing single-use plastics, and protecting fragile marine areas. In the Red Sea in particular, we make sure guests understand simple behaviours that help protect coral reefs and marine life.

Throughout the trip, guests are encouraged to bring refillable bottles and avoid single-use plastics.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY

For this trip, we try our best to make sure the benefits of tourism stay with the local people who actually bring Egypt to life. We work with local guides, drivers, small guesthouses, and family-run restaurants whenever possible. This gives travellers a more genuine experience, and at the same time supports people who really depend on tourism for their income.

During the trip, guests often visit local markets, small workshops, and places where artisans still work by hand. Whether it’s buying a simple souvenir, having lunch in a local spot, or stopping for tea in a small village, these moments help support families directly and keep local traditions alive.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

We aim to provide fair work opportunities for women and young people, whether in running guesthouses, preparing meals, guiding excursions, or assisting in cultural activities.

Guides teach travellers simple Arabic greetings and explain local customs, helping ensure respectful and meaningful interactions with communities.
