CARBON REDUCTION

All transportation throughout the itinerary is made by electric car. Charging the car will also be with green Norwegian energy from our many waterfalls and waters. Activities are alco carbon emission free,

Breakfast buffets always have vegetarian and vegans options available and clearly marked. Restaurants always have vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

The itinerary is based on only using lelectric car between the destinations, and only international flight to/from the country is necessary.

ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE

Each year we donate a precentage of the company surplus to a charity organisation who either helps people or the environment. Last year we donated to an NGO organisation cleaning plastic and litter from beaches and coast lines.

Have you considered adding an opt out conservation fee to each trip for named NGOs? No. We feel adding and opt out conservation fee is not right as it puts an extra economic burden on the traveller already paying for the trip, and we feel giving something back from the company surplus is an overall better solution.

People

LOCAL ECONOMY

The accommodations in Oslo and Ålesund are chain hotel within the same Norwegian chain, and this chain has a down to earth and friendly feeling, and in general everyone will feel welcome here. The other accommodations are all smaller-scale places with a more home feel and the hotels are locally owned.

We try to select destination that is not receiving the highest amount of travellers and has a more and genuine local feel, like Lom, Valldal, Hustadvika and Alvdal for this itinerary. For example Geiranger is a well known destination that draws many visitors but we believe Valldal give a better experience. Within the destinations, we also seek to use local smaller-scale operators with a focus on sustainability delivering a more authentic experience and is also benefiting the local economy.

EMPLOYMENT, INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY

Norway is a very liberal country in general and always score high on perimeters as equal rights to race, gender, sexual orientation or nationality. All travellers, like for example LGBT+ travellers are welcome everywhere.
