Memorable parts? The trek to Tigers Nest monastery, catching sight of it getting closer and hearing the sound of monks chanting across the valley. Tips? Have patience going through the visa p[rocess at Kathmandu airport Local benefits? Yes local people, we used water from plastic bottles which unfortunately added to the plastic piles. Overall rating? An amazing expereince visiting a country that may be changing quickly. (more)Trish Nancollis

The festival we saw was brilliant with highly colourful costumes and masks. Our visit to one monastery was special as only our group had the chance to just listen to the chanting monks with their drums and horns. (more)Daniel Collings
