What to expect on a wildlife photography holiday
You don’t need to be an experienced photographer to go on one of our wildlife photography holidays, but you will need to bring your own camera with manual settings. We’ll let you know what equipment is best to bring – whether you’re dealing with low light, chilly climes, humidity or animals at a distance – and whether you’ll be expected to hunker down in a hide, or you’d be better off choosing a trip with added comfort.
Expect expert tuition from a photographer guide, and local guides who will lead you to places with recent sightings. On tailor made trips you’re getting lots of personalised help, while if you join one of our small group trips, you’ll also get the benefit of being in the company of several inspiring image makers. Bring a laptop if you want to edit photos in the evenings.

Where can you go on a wildlife photography holiday?
The world’s most photogenic animals are within your reach on our holidays. You can head to Malaysian Borneo and photograph orangutans, and plunge into India’s tiger reserves to capture the world’s largest cat with a shutter click. South Africa’s a fantastic destination for a wide variety of megafauna, whilst Costa Rica’s jungles might have challenging light and humidity, but the prospect of getting a sloth portrait close-up should tempt you to pack the silica gel pouches and dive right in. In Europe, consider heading to Finland in the summer months for wolverines, rare seals – and glimpses of bears before they hibernate. We offer wildlife photography in dozens more destinations worldwide – browse our holidays collection to see them all.
Wildlife photography safari holidays
The hunt for the perfect photograph can enhance your appreciation of a safari holiday. With photography experts on hand and local guides and trackers at the ready, you can track amazing wildlife, capture the Great Migration on camera, and embark on walking safaris to get unique perspectives in the bush. Our holidays might take you to Zimbabwe, where you can photograph Victoria Falls as well as the safari animals, to Zambia to track leopards, and to Uganda to see gorillas in the wild. So, take a trusty bean bag to rest your camera on the roll bar of your Jeep and get your lenses ready.

If I could give this trip 10 stars, I would! Josh and his team exceeded all my expectations. I feel my heart remains in Tanzania, all thanks to them! It's impossible to choose just one memorable part of my Tanzania tour, as it felt like every day was packed with them! Josh's expertise and passion enabled me to see and experience more than I had ever imagined. We saw all the big cats, more elephants, giraffe and birds than I could count, even a rhino. He is so skilled, he knew just when and where...read more
