Our Amazon Animal Rescue Center takes care of animals that have been rescued from illegal trafficking in different areas of the country. After the animals arrive at the center, they are provided with appropriate care until they can be be released back into the wild. To ensure that these animals are properly treated, the center always has a professional vet on hand. However, because there are more than 130 animals that need daily care, the help of volunteers is essential to the center. The Simbaña Brothers started the volunteer project on their farm after evaluating all the problems that are affecting their home, San Cristobal island. Human activity over the years has created a plague for the natural ecosystem of the island, destroying the environment for endemic plants and animals.
