We believe in tourism that aims to have a low impact on the natural environment and local culture, while generating income and employment for local communities and promoting the conservation of fragile mountain ecosystems. This approach—known as responsible tourism—is both ecologically and culturally sensitive.
Local communities play a vital role in sustainable tourism by actively participating in and taking responsibility within the industry. We encourage local people to sell traditional handicrafts and interact with travelers, offering guests an authentic insight into local culture and daily life.
Our guides provide clear and practical guidance on environmental protection throughout the trek. This includes avoiding littering, disposing of waste only in designated garbage areas, establishing controlled fire points during camping treks, and, where possible, giving food waste to domestic animals. Trekkers are encouraged to contribute a small additional amount to porters to help carry non-disposable waste back by duffel bag. Bathing or washing clothes in streams is discouraged to protect water sources.
To further minimize environmental impact, we operate with small group sizes, limited to a maximum of 16 participants.
We are proud to partner with the registered charity organization Chhahari Group Nepal, which has been serving Nepali society since 2001. The organization supports communities affected by natural disasters and social challenges through initiatives such as orphanages, community schools, health camps, and scholarship programs. A current project involves supporting a free community school for children from extremely poor families who cannot afford formal education.

People

We maximize our contribution to local communities by employing experienced local guides and porters with strong knowledge of the region and its culture. All clients are encouraged to hire porters, providing meaningful employment and ensuring tourism revenue flows directly into the local economy. For safety and well-being, porters are not permitted to carry more than 25 kg.
During this trek, accommodation is provided in locally owned lodges and teahouses, supporting local livelihoods while minimizing environmental impact. These establishments reduce deforestation by using kerosene or gas fuel instead of firewood.
Trekkers also have the opportunity to make voluntary donations to the Annapurna and Everest Conservation Projects, which play a vital role in environmental protection and community development in both regions. These conservation areas support a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species such as the snow leopard, musk deer, Tibetan argali, Impeyan pheasant, and Tragopan pheasant.
The Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) protects a vast range of habitats, from subtropical Sal forests to permanent snowfields, helping to preserve biodiversity and maintain the ecological integrity of the central Himalayas.
