Description of Indonesia luxury adventure holiday

Experience Indonesia at its most soul-stirring, where sacred ceremony, the natural world, and daily life are deeply entwined. We begin in Bali, where ritual shapes temple courtyards, village kitchens, and volcanic highlands. Then, continue east to the wild natural beauty of Flores, where marine stewards, island villages, and a private speedboat journey to encounter Komodo’s extraordinary wildlife establish our coastal rhythm. This is Indonesia as few experience it: considered, elemental, and revealed through the expertise of your handpicked Signature Guide.

Venture to the very heart of each destination on our Signature Collection, where every journey is shaped by our unrivalled local connections and insider expertise. Step beyond the ordinary with private invitations, rare encounters, and experiences few will ever share.

Signature Experiences:

- Enter Balinese spiritual life through a private temple blessing led by a female priest, guided by lineage, ritual meaning, and place.
- Encounter Komodo National Park with a ranger and conservation expert, observing dragons on Rinca island before snorkelling coral-rich waters.
- Greet dawn at Mount Batur alongside one of Bali’s female mountaineers, watching the caldera emerge before crossing lava fields by 4×4.
- Gain a unique insight into the culture of the Indigenous Manggarai group on a guided exploration of Todo village, meeting the people and sampling traditional cakes.

Signature Day: Experience our distinctive Signature Day, choosing between included activities such as a highland hike, spiritual immersion, coastal snorkelling, or a Balinese script masterclass.

Signature Stay: Experience Komaneka at Bisma, a refined Balinese boutique hotel with tropical forest views, part of this trip’s refined accommodation portfolio.

Signature Guide: Let your handpicked Signature Guide lead you to the country’s soul — sharing their home, heritage, and heart.

Here be dragons… our Flores travel guide tells you all you need to know about its national parks and culture.

Holiday information

Small group tour, ideal for solos & couples:
Small group travel is not large group travel scaled down. It is modeled on independent travel – but with the advantage of a group leader to take care of the itinerary, accommodation and tickets, and help with the language. It’s easy to tick off the big sights independently – but finding those one-off experiences, local festivals, travelling markets and secret viewpoints is almost impossible for someone without the insider knowledge gained from years in the field. For those with limited time, a small group tour will save valuable time in planning, and on holiday.
Dietary requirements:
We can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts.

1. Direct Employment of Local Experts - Local Ranger and Guide Integration: We exclusively employ certified local rangers and guides, particularly within sensitive areas like Komodo National Park, to ensure that tourism revenue supports the human infrastructure necessary for conservation. Specialized Knowledge: Using local guides allows us to provide agents with authentic "subject matter expertise" while keeping economic benefits within the destination.

The villages we supports: Muntigunung; Tenganan; Todo Village; Subak Guliang.
