We conduct responsible tours, which means protecting the environment that we operate in. On this tour, we bring clients to visit the highlights of Central Vietnam, including the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, the Hue Citadel, and Hoi An Ancient Town. Our clients explore the spectacular cave systems of Quang Binh, such as Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave, where we emphasize that they should not touch the formations, throw rubbish away, or do anything damaging to the delicate cave ecosystems.

On our transfers throughout the journey from Dong Hoi to Hoi An, we prioritize train and the use of eco-fuel to minimize carbon emissions. Our drivers are trained to drive in an eco-friendly way—by turning off the engine while waiting at red lights and maintaining the air-conditioning at a sustainable 27 degrees.

In addition to standard 3-star hotels, we encourage the use of local accommodations that respect the cultural fabric of historical cities like Hue and Hoi An. We advise our partners on tourism issues and suggest using local materials for maintenance and renovation. Moreover, we warn them to reduce the use of plastic products, save water, and reuse water in daily activities to protect the central coast and river systems.

People

At the local restaurants and hotels we select in Dong Hoi, Hue, and Hoi An, we prioritize the use of local products such as regional seafood and traditional Central Vietnamese cuisine. We also utilize local boat rowers in Phong Nha and local guides in the historical sites to ensure that the community benefits directly from our visit.

Additionally, during our visits to sites in Hue, we choose services owned by locals. These are the ways we share the benefits of tourism with the people at the sites and neighboring regions. We train the locals in hospitality—how to welcome guests, provide authentic meals, and share the history of their ancestors with tourists.

Each community in Central Vietnam has a unique cultural identity, from the historical traditions of the Nguyen Dynasty in Hue to the trading heritage of Hoi An. We encourage them to preserve their culture and customs and show this to tourists.
