Experience a 10 day foodie odyssey as part of a small group as you plot an overland path from Venice to Rome via public transport and locally-owned accommodation.
Make the most of your time on a 10 day Italian food tour that takes you from the waterfront restaurants of Venice to the grand piazzas of Rome with a hearty helping of Tuscan delights along the way to soothe the soul and inspire the palate.
As you’d hope from Italian food tours from Venice to Florence to Rome, you’ll also be invited to take your time to stroll around the cultural cobbles and investigate the independent wine and food sellers with guided sightseeing and free time to explore adding to an array of gastronomic delights.
Train journeys allow you to experience an Italian food tour like a local as you soak up the rolling scenery and stow away a few snacks and tasty treats for the journey before disembarking and discovering regional specialities or strolling through the countryside where regional produce grows in abundance.

Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
In keeping with our Responsible Travel policy you will stay in carefully selected locally-owned accommodation - we put your money into the local economy and small businesses, not state-owned companies or corporate chains. We use public transport throughout this trip, not only minimising the environmental impact of our journey but also creating concrete opportunities to interact with the locals.
We will visit the National Park of the Cinque Terre, learning about the conservation project and marine preservation zone, contributing to the maintenance of this important and historical area.
People
We will also introduce you to our local friends, such as Alberto who sells wine ‘sfuso’ or direct from the barrel. Reuse your water bottle by having Alberto refill it with the wine of your choice. We are welcomed into Giorgio and Giovanna’s home to discover the process of making real balsamic vinegar – a traditional art practiced by a few Modenese families in their own homes - the end product bears no relation to the mass-produced balsamic vinegar that most people are familiar with.
We provide all our travellers with specific information about how to be a responsible traveller on this trip. Our group leaders are passionately responsible travellers. Those who wish to contribute further after their travels can do so through the our foundation which supports environmental and social projects, making a difference to communities around the world.
